I think we all needed to relax a bit and let off some steam after a few pages this morning, of some heated FUD/spam spreading so whenever you see a troll post this :

Okay, if unprotected wallet is dangerous to lose it, why silk coin client not prompting to create it at first launch?

MEGAman is real piece of work .. a complete tool .. have you all seen this ??!?!
This is an early post from MEGAman promoting Murraycoin, (nothing against Bill Murray, i love the guy, and i'm sure he would be outraged to see a assclown like MEGAman promoting a crypto-currency created in his namesake)

I'm having a hard time understanding why more people aren't mining this. Am I missing something? Based on the current difficulty and the last trade price at Xnigma MRY is about 3 times more profitable to mine than LTC right now. There is a buy order out there for 200k MRY at 0.0000154 which is way undervalued yet even at that price, it's more profitable to mine MRY than mining at even the best multipool. We need more sell volume at Xnigma and we need more people mining. Here is why you are insane if you are mining anything else:

A) MRY is literally the most profitable thing you can mine right now even at the current super low Xnigma price. At the private exchange it's worth 3x more which is even more ridiculous. There are only 58,000,000 coins (seems like most new stuff either has some super low coin gimmick or billions of coins.) There is no premine and we're a month in here.

B) If you mine at FusionHash you are also helping to support Bill Murray's charitable foundation.

C) Beautiful website, awesome wallet, not a single tech issue since the day they launched. Most alts have had 2 or 3 forks by now but these devs haven't made a mistake yet. Interesting difficulty formula as well, best block explorer, and can be mined at fusionhash which is truly the best pool I've ever seen.

D) Bill F**king Murray!

E) Not only is this the most profitable thing to mine right now, it's one announcement away from probably jumping over 10x higher in price. Why in the hell is everybody waiting for the announcement to get involved? There is already zero risk when it's currently the best thing you can be mining already.

Murraycoin .. 10x ?!??! hahhhahhahhahhah ... let's see how MEGAfag's predictions panned out  --- http://coinmarketcap.com/mry_180.html

You'll see. Haven't been wrong yet.

you have absolutely less-than-zero credibility.

your smear campaign on legitimate coins and your blackmail attempts are pathetic .. 0.5 btc ? i can make more than that trading legitimate coins in the time you spent photoshopping Silkcoin's pm's.

if you guys want to see what has happened with Murraycoin since he posted that msg ... see here :     http://coinmarketcap.com/mry_180.html

why are you wasting your time trashing a legitimate coin with strong community support.
get a fuckin life.

using MEGAman as your name should be considered sacrilege, and anyone who asks you for trading advice, truly gets what they deserve in life.

see my earlier MEGAmeme for more info.

I know that post was long.  So to sum it up.

Lets try this.

1st Silk unified community action?

Post a camel pic of any type with no comment in reply to any FUD.

  Itll be fun.

I will start posting once i hit my comp.  ToR, an android and being mortally exhausted makes it currently out of me league.  I Will start tomorrow if everyone thinks its a good idea.

   Fuckin love that camel.

Slick move lowering the price a smidge before whitepaper is released.  Camel marches on.

I dunno all this premine bs.  The coins have been in the same place the whole time, and the Dev team continues to deliver.  With the amount of effort and work that has and is going into this project, it would make absolutely no sense to dump any coins at anytime. Maybe after all the features and development have been completed? But still unlikely.  It isn't logical to throw away a project like this.  While everyone else is fucking around trying to make their coin more anonymous Silk is quietly progressing with features not found in the cryptoworld.  All these stupid names that give away any credibility of being actually anonymous - darkcoin, cloakcoin.. I dunno will there be more coming out? Like LOOKatmeNSAcoin, or Targetmecoin?  or HeyImbeingshadycoin.. Dumb fucks.  But good for a ride to make some dough.  These are short term coins that will die and all a part of the fun of the markets, including the FUD that hits the forums. Like scared chickens running from lightning most traders are.

This coin is a baby, and in some pretty good cradles to grow up in (mintpal, cryptsy, bittrex).  I Still haven't sold 1 silk.  And I won't.  I Look forward to using it in the eco-system and market integrations that are coming.  Point is if you don't have the money to invest, and the intelligence to see what coin has the best possibilities for success, don't trade.  And Don't bitch about coins up 10 times their value in the month.  ha

Dev's keep up the good work, I like your style.  And I like where silk is sitting on the exchanges right now.   I've bought higher, and I've bought lower.  And I'll keep buying.

Thanks for everything and keep on keeping on.. haha Stay Calm and Buy Silk.  If I could give the community a hug or smoke a joint with ya all I would.  For now, my camel marches on.

(-:<

I really liked this post Smiley

I love you too man. Haha

It is blatently apparent that 2 or 3 guys are in here not for stupidity but for the purpose of intimidation to either drive the price down or to level the playing field for whatever shitcoin they are the devs of in fear of being eaten alive buy an insane camel trekking for silk.
The posts are filled with nothingness but are fairly eloquently put together.  It truly is well designed FUD.
I could make assumptions at who they could be, but I will leave the speculation and false accusations to them as they are good at it and seem to enjoy.  It is very easy to scare chickens and is kind of fun, so i understand.
As was the game Megaman.  I did really like that game.
All the fun posts Megaman leaves reminds me of those childhood days, enjoying simplicity on the nintendo, with a complete lack of understanding of the complexities of the world.  Ignorance is bliss, at least for a time.
Megaman is and was the epitome of simplicity.  I do enjoy your posts Megaman.  I hope youre not as simple as you sound and nintendo would be now.  If you are not intelligent as i suspect then my confidence in perception may be shattered. Please spare my ego and keep up the intelligent FUD.  Its really good.
I do love the camel, and i laugh everytime he is posted with no reply following the fairly useless attacks on Silk.   If you see FUD post the CAMEL.  Ill get into the habit of it because its fuckin hilarious.
I think the Fud has managed to make regular 1 to 200 satoshi fluctuations in silk and essentially has stabalized the market at quite a fair buying price.
The drop from 6 or 8 or whatever it got to was quite natural as silk was the highest volume on all 3 exchanges for damn near 2 or 3 days.  Im sure there was some folks that made some decent money on that and will be pleased to buy back in again low as it is for the next ride.

It truly is a shame when fud destroys a coin via the confidence of the community consequently reflecting on the confidence of the dev in all the work he put into his tiny digital dream.  To have ones dream shattered by fear, uncertainty and doubt is quite tragic and unfortunatly part of the game.
It is an oxymoron what is happening in the crypto community.. the original hype on bitcoin was for the hope of driving the FED out of destroying and controlling our lives with its deflationary currency and inflationary economy.  And now the FED is taking slow control of bitcoin on a global platform while all the innovators and communities in the alt world battle because of greed.
It is sad these bunch of chickens running around scared of the big boot of fiat and lightning crashing from the invisible hand of God.
We do need an ecosystem and ability to trade for goods outside of the realm of fiat and i hope that there can be some unification in the crypto world like how Silk shared tech with Caix.
Im hoping the exchange will be built into multiple qts and we will see more tech sharing in the future.  The crypto community needs this if there is any hope of achieving the dreams of the original bitcoiners.

I really think the camel head should be posted every fud in honor of this beautiful symbiotic relationship between troll and bridge.  Its fuckin great.
If there was value in anything they were saying, im a smart enough guy to leave behind my beloved Silk collection.   But to the contrary all the accusations are completely hollow and good for a laugh.

Everybody keep it up.  Im havin a great time. Finally found devs that produce what they say, and a community that is growing with intelligent support.  Everybody take notes on what is happening here and look forward to the future.

Relax.  Smoke a joint with your camel, and
Buy More Silk.  Life is a journey and crypto is its currency.

It's the staking mechanism, the stake you won (the small amount) goes to another address, just like when you mine from the wallet. But it's available in your balance and if you want to choose you can choose inputs in coin control dialog to choose from which address to send.

Sorry for the lazyness, but how much coins do I stake when my (staked) balance is like 50,000? And furthermore, is there a specific time set for payment?

Thanks,
boestin

If you hover over the lightning bolt it will tell you your current stake weight and expected time until reward

Q

But the stakeweight is not measured in coins right? How do I translate that?

i'm not 100% sure on this as i am not one of the DEVS but i think the weight is the coin amount that has aged 12 hrs and avail to stake.. i think ..

Sorry to add to this forum though I feel that you guys seem to always be active on here and are very helpful.
Oh and I've been with silkcoin from the start and am with you guys all the way....

so my question is -

I'm currently mining script coins and have no idea on mining X13.
Can anyone help me on what I need to do to change to this.

I've searched the net and downloaded a sgminer file but kind of lost from there.

downloaded from - http://cryptomining-blog.com/tag/x13-miner/

Any help would be appreciated.

I cannot really help you with X13 as i have not tried it yet however i did find this guide after a quick google that may help you

Hey guys,
I've a question:
I have just one wallet with a single address but I've noticed that when I'm staking I'm receiving coins on another address.
So let's say I have address A in the receive list but when I stake I receive on this address B which is not present in the list.

Can you explain me this please?
Thanks
