Fear and panic is contagious.

Also the OP has always stated any developers with interesting ideas or interest in working on the project should contact the lead dev, and bounties are reserved for this sort of thing.

It looks like the bounties may be gone...

I know the PRE_MINE is still their for all to see not 1 coin has moved,,

If coins start disappearing from that address then worry..

I am going to guess that he moved the coins to test the exchange on the new wallet.  This is the thing that makes the most sense.  And he is not talking ATM because he is working out the last details for the wallet. He doesn't do things half-ass we all know this. Whats amazing is we all know the way to make the most money in ALT coins is to make a quality product. Its not scamming people. Its with trust and honesty.

Well that is only half of the premine though. I guess either way a brief explanation would be nice. I know when I deposit to Bittrex at least my balance remains with that address even after I sell (until somebody else withdraws coins). Not sure about MintPal.

It appears that mintpal has slightly changed the api, this causes the wallet to crash, and then will not re-open

Reverting to the earlier build of ..

http://www.mediafire.com/download/yssfvctgf8cruay/silkcoin-qt-1.0.9.zip

Should fix the prob temporarily,

Has anyone else had issues with the 1.0.9.2 windows wallet Huh

When I try to run the wallet from silkcoin-qt-1.0.9.2-windows.zip I get this error....  MSVCR110.dll Not Found

My system has the msvcr110.dll file (lowercase naming).

If I rename msvcr110.dll to MSVCR110.dll and drop it in the SC Wallet folder, the Silkcoin Wallet still crashes.

db.log is empty

debug.log has only the following....

If this dev really is a flop, I know a small group of developers who can actually bring the silkcoin eco-system to life. It really is not that hard. Silkcoin has a lot of potential and IF the dev is a flop like megaman predicted then the project should be taken over by people competent enough. I don't see why this coin should be left dying on the side of the road.

dude, just chill the fuck out and be patient, he is prob as bly working really hard to meet deadlines. He has delivered every single time with what he said he would do and its always quality, As of now there is no reason to think that he would bail and not do what he promised.

Why is everyone overreacting and acting so emo?

I'm not saying he is going to bail, I am just saying, in the worst possible case scenario, if that were to happen I would have the resources to help "revive" this coin and further development to realize the dev's original vision.

Why not offer them your help? Every help is needed.

I don't see any reason to intervene when they supposedly have a full dev team already working on it. My current assumption is that it is something that they're already working on and that they probably won't need any outside help. However, I will be able to offer my help IF (please understand the emphasis on this if) the current devs flop on the project and silkcoin is taken over by new management.

There is ALWAYS something you could have done to get a better outcome..... if you can reliably predict the future that is!! But you can't and if you think you can, you'll dive yourself crazy really fast.

I put in 15 BTC in this coin with average buy much higher than we have now. It's a lot of money for me but it's the risk I took and I'm at piece with it. I won't panic and won't dump, looking at long term here.

I like that! I also put in a lot bitcoins in this project, and yes, at the moment I'm down like 5BTC if I sold right now, but I also hold for long term.
Good to have some one that can hold his coins without being in panic Smiley

Together as a community we can do this, just buy all the cheap ass fake walls if you can, only if you can afford it. Let these guys buy back at higher price Cheesy

You guys sum it up for me. IF the pre mine coins are still there, then there is no dev dump going on. if they are on one address or 10, it shouldn't matter as long as they are there. What is more likely is some market manipulation going on ahead of the expected wallet release.

I went out and bought some more coins. Fuck the fudders! No risk, no reward. That blackcoin story a few pages back makes you cringe. I'm holding until it hits big or hits 0.

APPLE started in some guys garage.

Good things happen to those who wait.

If this is your fist altcoin, take this chance to learn about investing. If you sell low, you WILL take a loss. If you wait, you MIGHT make it big or you might not. So, why take a certain loss when you can maybe (even probably with SC) make a profit?

Makes go up and down all the time. The trick is to look past it....

I wish i sold all mine when it hit 4.5cents though!
I could have more than tripled my stake in SC.

HODL is the key though

I had a very similar issue, even though I was running win 7 x64, it kept giving me the error.  I finally decided to installed the x86 32 bit version on my computer and it worked.
http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=8328

EDIT: Also had to copy these 2 files (msvcp100.dll, msvcr100.dll) from C:\Windows\System32 to the same folder as the silkcoin-qt.exe.

Cheers for the link, however still not working after trying both the x64 & x86 versions & copying those files in the wallet folder.
Now just crashes with no error.

I'm not too bothered for now... will wait and see what the next update brings, and use 1.0.9 until then.

Have you had both versions installed simultaneously while trying? I do have both installed.

Maybe the next update then indeed Smiley

It seems some ppl need constant positive reinforcement or else they freak out. Altcoin dev teams are NOT professionally equipped organizations with vast resources to sit and shoot the shit with fud'ers etc. Even multi-billion dollar companies don't put out a constant stream of "everything is ok!", so get a grip already!

Probably people that invest money what they cant miss.

Lesson 1. Dont invest money you cannot miss
Lesson 2. Dont trade on emotion
Lesson 3. HODL
