Could someone list some working nodes?  I only have one connection on mine (94.42.21.45:41336) and I would prefer to have more.

Still no SMLY smiley in 'topia Trollbox  Embarrassed  All the other coins have one!
You can tip in the trollbox using SMLY, and it's been done a few times -- do you mean something else?

Yes, something else.  I mean the emoticon that represents SmileyCoin that you can use when chatting by typing [SMLY] or by choosing it from the pop-out emoticon menu.

We've said all along that the SMLY is for rewarding students in the tutor-web system and we are particularly interested in getting this to low-income areas.

Next step: Get the tutor-web and SMLY on tablets into a Kenyan high school!

We need your help:

Please look at our crowdfunding page: https://chuffed.org/project/education-in-a-suitcase

and please like+share our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/education.in.a.suitcase

And yes, Education in a suitcase/tutor-web accepts cryptocurrency donations :-)
Bitcoin donations: You can donate bitcoin to the tutor-web project by sending to the BTC wallet 1Prdx9EQmgptUh8GVFPvNCufwrCkDvoCU8
Dogecoin donations: You can donate bitcoin to the tutor-web project by sending to the DOGE wallet DQqfSLHKyVUM3JNry2nPr8hnguWTpfP5pn
Auroracoin donations: You can donate auroracoins to the tutor-web project by sending them to the AUR wallet ATKsWSW9n9S3aJZkbDFcVqzWi7eM8sG68Z
Smileycoin donations: You can donate smileycoin to the tutor-web project by  sending to the SMLY wallet BGs1L33mgDz8mUAE5h3bgmuo7s9r5Et8ne

SMLY can now be used for tipping at cryptopia.

Nice; was just thinking of asking about that!  Grin

You know what would be really cool: Get a base market using SMLY. That would mean a full market where every coin can be traded against SMLY. Now cryptopia has BTC, LTC, DOGE, DOT etc , total of 7 markets.

It's not free: It costs 2.2 BTC ...

There is now a Smileybubble game in the Google Playstore, where you can spend your SMLY to buy features.

This is intended mostly as an example of how easy it is to accept SMLY in a computer game. The game simply talks to the SMLY wallet on the phone. Cool stuff!

As you will have noticed, SMLY is traded at a fairly low exchange rate. This causes problems in a BTC-SMLY market. In effect, it is much better to trade SMLY in something like a DOGE-SMLY market. The problem with the DOGE-SMLY market on c-cex is that it does not count towards volume. For this reason volume has been cronically low on c-cex and we have been threatened several times to be thrown out of the exchange.

On the other hand, on cryptopia we are simply not registered on the BTC base market. This is perfect for the SMLY since the main market on cryptopia for SMLY  is now the DOGE-SMLY market.

A DOGE-SMLY market can easily handle any dumps by miners and a more orderly development of the spread, since it allows much better granularity in the price.

It will be interesting to see how the DOGE-SMLY markets develop on these two exchanges.

Has anyone had any luck with depositing SMLY into cryptopia?

It's almost as if that wallet doesn't see incoming coins.

hi gstefans I am part of the cryptopia team and glad you made it here I have seen your support ticket but I am only a mod I cant help the owners are the only ones that can help you with that and our
good friend sa_ddam213 has been on vacation this week at a wedding. I would like to add with the dif level being so high on smiley it might be best if the students buy a coffee card the night before they run out because the block time is around a hour so if they want to drink now it would be a better idea for your students. if you or anyone else has questions please direct them at me in the cryptopia  email at username shotgun I will be more than happy to find the answer for you. I have been mining and trading for 2 years now.
Hi shotgun
Thanks for informing us. Of course there is no real hurry - I was just wondering whether there was a problem.
Yes the SMLY difficulty has been bouncing around a bit too much.
In terms of coffee, we're thinking we'll just have the cashier see the student press the "Send" button and then not worry about it.
This is the method used in a bitcoin pub I know of -- the individual numbers are sufficiently low not to have much of an effect on anything.
There will be a separate tally of coffee cups anyway, since this is an experiment.
But yes, buying a coffee card would also be an idea.
