Haven't been up to date with BCY in a bit. Has the main game launched? Still in beta or what? If it's out I'm ready to give it a shot lol

Sounds good.

How can I start a multiplayer game in browser or mobile app? Or is this feature just about to get released soon?

The feature has not been released yet. Should be out in one of the next releases.

Glad to see an updated roadmap. And looking forward to test the next versions! YAY  Cheesy
I am looking forward too,
and I hope price of BCY will go up

When BCY price will go up again you'll cry that you didn't bought enough BCY and cards at cheap price. Wink
now another few percent down Sad

Yes, multiplayer will be implemented in the future

SPELLS OF GENESIS SOFT-LAUNCH APPROCAHING

DISCOVER THE UPDATED ROADMAP!

Click on the map to download its full size version

This Thursday, we will release a new, updated gameplay, in both mobile and web versions. Furthermore,
we are planning to release another two updates during this November, with approximately two weeks
intervals. The purpose of every new version is to get the gameplay more stable, while eliminating all
the so far discovered bugs and thus improving the game flow.

The last one of these versions will also be our mobile soft-launch candidate. Together with All 4 Games,
we will review and test every new version. If the soft-launch candidate release meets our common
expectations and technical requirements, Spells of Genesis will be soft-launched in previously selected
countries by the end of November!

I like the look of it too, but I wish it was based on Counterparty.

I remember less then half year ago, many here thought SoG should be on Ethereum. Now it happened that ICONOMIC cant even issue and distribute their tooken on schedule.  Things change fast in Crypto. I guess that is what BtV are counting on.

I guess it was good for SoG to stick to Counterparty.

Maybe there will be some SoG cards that could work with BtV and viceversa.
Not sure how it'll work technically between the 2 different blockchains... we can only wait and see.

Well, I do not understand why SoG have to live only on the bitcoin blockchain, SoG have a centralized server that properly coded could read more than one blockchain, so potentially any player could provide more than 1 type of blockchain address, and SoG could handle cards ore other object on any blockchain.
The real revolution is a multi blockchain game/service. Blockchains are only ledgers (ok Ethereum is more than a ledger).
So the discussion on what blockchain is better dosesn't have much sense. And BTW the bitcoin blockchain is NOT the ideal for card exchange, too slow, too costly.
pr

This is true, but its less easy for players to have assets from multiple blockchains in the same wallet, which is why I'd prefer to see games using the same protocol; but ultimately its not a big deal really.

When thinking more. I dont really see a way how could one asset be on 2 blockchains.  It seems SoG and BtV already did solve this problem at least in theory. I cant. I see unsolved double spending problem.  How will Ethereun blockchain know if i will sell my asset on Counterparty blockchain?

It is not necessary, (for example) Ethereum based cards live on ethetreum, counterparty based cards on bitcoin. I think about two kind of cards, Sog Servers could handle them togheter

But that are then 2 different assets that mean same in each game.  This will bring that price will be most likely different.  If 100 cards will be issued on Ethereum and 100 on counterparty.  Or maybe price will stay same.  I guess we will just need to wait and see.
Yes it is posible this way.

They don't necessarily need to mean the same I don't think; each game can accept an asset from the other blockchain which is different from all of their own assets.

actually, a team member  posted on the slack channel a long list of bugs the team has already fixed or will be fixing in the next coming days ( combination of both) so i wouldn't worry about anything other than picking up some more BCY's

And for the ones who see the BCY price going down, don't forget BTC went up and that usually affects all altcoins more or less.
So I personally have no doubt it will pick back up at the next release or round of news.

It has been quiet for a week now but I believe the team is working on various bits and pieces, there is time for news and time to work.
Marketing is fine, I think, when there is something newsworthy articles pop up like mushrooms. Smiley

The All 4 Games partnership is also moving forward that means the team may be working closely with them.

You can't have cards on different blockchains in my opinion because first is a lot to handle for the dev team, managing, integrating and maintaining different blockchains is a lot of work.
Also for users who are not cryptocurrency savvy and see SoG for the first time... There's already a learning curve for Counterparty, imagine if they were to have to learn how to use Ethereum and BitShares and Nxt and whatever else. They'll probably just forget about it.

I see SoG collaborating with IndieSquare on Book of Orbs which is trying to make things simple and hopefully even a newbie will be able to get cracking in no time.

However let's see how it goes, I'm just curious on how an asset for SoG could potentially work in Beyond the Void, if they can do that it'll be a good start.

take this as an opportunity to earn more mate just think of what will happen next for sure it will bounce back and recover or rises up more
value will dictates when uses has been showed to keep monitoring the flow. good luck
but there is no info from relatively long time..
and marketing now is poor..

probably they prefer the new game "Beyond The Void" ?  -----> ( NEW GAME = NEW MONEY )

Exactly: Ethereum's blockchain won't know that. If SoG put their tokens on more than one blockchain, you could sell a card once for each blockchain it was on, which is pointless.

Maybe if SoG were more decentralized it would be possible. For example, Factom can anchor data to multiple blockchains because it does so in an automated and distributed fashion, inserting into multiple blockchains at once. This makes it impossible for a human to interrupt the process and alter the data such that a different hash is put in the different blockchains
