Yes, Nova Crystalis will hapen very soon.  Like by 2018.  But first we will have Multiplayer, then Blockchainization, then Marva Magica.  Only after all these updates will we have Nova Crystalis which is not an update of SOG, but a brand new project centered around BCY.

No, there is no info on Nova Crystalis on the web as it is kept secret.  And of course, there wouldn't be any need for secrets if they were to switch to ETH/ETC as it is an easy task.  All we know is that Nova Crystalis is a big project that will make BCY independent from SOG and revolutionize gaming.

Aslo I have no concern that EDS will switch to ETH/ETC as SOG trading cards are collectibles which can only be collectible on the bitcoin blockchain (Ethereum is not immutable and as such doesn't guarantee asset value).  Besides, if EDS wanted to get out of Bitcoin, instead of switching to someone's else scamcoin, they could just as well create their own scamcoin.

The only thing that would make sense is if EDS creates a bridge between BTC and a shitcoin.  EDS cannot move existing blockchain cards to another blockchain, but it could create a bridge both ways so that SOG could play a ETH based card and vice versa.  This would not affect the value of Bitcoin based cards/assets as they would remain on the more secure Bitcoin blockchain.

It is limited supply, that is covering most of the price... There are only 200 cards and imagine after 10 years probably a lot of them will be lost, which leads to big price, but of course Spells of genesis must be popular.

I fully agree. scarcity creates more value than utility. it is normal that game asset price goes up while BCY aligns with Bitcoin price.  furthermore, BCY price should decline with the new book of orbs update assuming you can use BTC or xcp to buy swapbot linked assets from the book of orbs.

1.9 BTC for a Bitcoin based asset limited to only 199 is a great deal in my opinion.

I hope that next week will show their value, with news, marketing and tech value.

If it does not change anything I hope people will realize and abandon definitively bitcrystals, because life is a give and have and we just gave........

2 Years following this development.. and this game still looks like Bubble with saga and nothing else...
There's no multiplayer yet... trading p2p not avaible yet..
Only levels & more levels.. and more cards thrown to the backers...
But.... Do the cards really cost that much?
