make the price $4995 and limit the purchase per buyer to perhaps max 5.

that's comparable to group buy of 50 units in what way?

Interesting news on the group buy and GREAT news on the improved shipping costs...

@Spondoolies-Tech -- are you simply trying to shift risk to Roadstress?  Why buy direct at $11,995 when I can (potentially) at $4995 from the group buy?

Sadly they were not as aggressive on a bulk SP10 proposal  Huh
We're not trying to shift any risk. We're fully supporting RoadStress buy group effort.

OK, and kudos for the distributing the hash rate mantra, but to the latter question...

Will you answer that one for me please?
We like group buys, they help to distribute the hash-rate.
We do offer modest bulk sales discounts, as you well know.

You could set this up on your website, make the price $4995 and limit the purchase per buyer to perhaps max 5. Also, I still think your SP10 for May Delivery is over priced since you have not sold out of them yet, let's take worst case scenario that you ship them May 31st, this meas that there will be 3-4 difficulty increases, if we say average 15% increase I come up with the price of around $4500 for your SP10 Bundle so I think you should reduce the price of the SP10 Bundles to around 4K and you will see how fast they sell, just a suggestion.

Grin to the bulk discounts -- But still didn't answer the question...  Wink

It appears you have shifted from retail to wholesale and perhaps looking for "authorized distributors"?

Any wandering customer buying one SP30 will get directed to the Easter Group buy of course.

New Shipping rates for the SP10s!

We are happy to announce that following the completion of the April batch, having shipped out many units and with plans to start shipping the May batch, we were able to secure a new and improved shipping rate.

The new shipping price is $193 for any country in the world that we ship to.

In addition for those who order 6 SP10 May bundles or more, shipping will be free!

Would it be possible to have a group buy for the May batch? I'm talking about something similar to the speacial easter/pesach for SP30 offer above.

Come up with a proposal, send to [email protected]
We're not committing though.

I'll come up with something over the weekend and send it to you.
Hopefully we can work something out!

the way I see it, this forum holds a wealth of knowledge and expertise that you just won't find anywhere else. Why do you need to question a manufacturers intent to reward this community?

Wow...$0.38/KWh...FORGET it... Wink

It is cheaper for you to host them...I guess...
Not in germany. If i host it here i'll pay the same as at home but i'll get professional cooling and added setup/monthly cost. Sad
"thanks obama merkel" Tongue

It's not Obama's fault,I dislike him myself,it's ASICminer/KNC/MEGAbigpower & a few other massive farms reaping in millions that is killing mining for Anyone who's small time............... Roll Eyes

I see the end before 2014 is over for "average joe" home miner, like myself, even altcoins are going to "farms"   Cry

+1  The only way to prolong the fun is to group and collectivize make it more like a hobby club. There seems to be a lot of movement that way seen quite a few posts asking people to come together and share resources at city level / regional level.

I don't want to clutter your thread with competitor comparisons, so I'll just stick with evaluating your offering.

You may be making a nice profit on each SP10, but your customers won't at the current prices. Here, take a look: Mining Calculator. Those "~20 days" are enough to kill any chance at a profit.

I'm calculating similar situations. Even if i mine in May and sell it in June, i make 2-3 BTC and i have to sell it for the June price: -1k$
German customs eat up another 19% to the price and power 38$ Cent/kwh is just to expensive. (Don't added cooling... It's summer soon!)

As much as i want one (or more), i find no profitable calculation for me here in my 38 cent/kwh +19% customs country.

Yes, hosting in Israel came out to something like 25c/kwh, and no shipping or VAT.
