Shit happens. Sometimes I sold too cheap coins and then price has been high. But sometimes in time...
I remember aerocoin, when I was only one (!) who mined solo at 3 AM lol, felt like an idiot and stopped to mine, but then sold this amount 2+ BTC
Too bad I stoped mining, better been mine till morning

Likewise.  Doubled my money or thereabouts, but not a lot.  Maybe made 2BTC.  Lack of clear roadmap was the only thing that stopped me investing seriously in this coin.  Glad I didn't put more in.

I sold all Spreads, just wanted to see price and read thread, seems like I did right before dev is gone.

Dev is gone and people think it matters if he is chinese or not.

The only thing that matters is that there is no way to contact him to ask if he is coming back.

So some people are selling and others are holding. Seems that I have seen this before. 

I hope he will be back because I like to see what he can do with it.

I told you before that this coin can be pool mined and people did not belive it. The problems with most coins is that there are a lot of fanboys that just belive in profits and dont care about anything else.

This coin is not bad but it have some problems. I leave that alone.

The big problem is a missing dev.

He can have earned a lot from this or not.
He can be from europe or china, it does not matter.


The problem is that he is not here and people are selling. The longer time he is away the more selling will be happening.
Nobody knows if he is coming back or not. Never invest in coins that dont have known devs!!!!!
Now you have no way to contact him and you just have to wait to see if he shows up.

He ran the project in his 'spare time'.

Clearly, this was turning out to be a big project. Added to the pressures of everyday life, there was plenty of trolling going on. I know, I did my fair share. Mine was to question and challenge and it was actually aimed more at price manipulation. Well the price isn't being manipulated anymore  

There was a period of posting where Mr.SPR was getting pissed off. Especially with the DRK clone, master node clone accusations.

JL was probably right, Mr.SPR is probably Chinese. But unlike JL, I don't think Mr.SPR has that much in the way of BTC.

He was posting at regular intervals at times that could be considered after work, at weekends.

Working full time, then working on SPR, plus the trolling, the pressure of testing, etc, over a 6 month period probably led to a "oh, fuck it, I'm off for a break" moment.

It is the Chinese New Year. China is experiencing some bad weather and travel disruptions.



My best guess is that he is visiting family in rural areas. He has the type of job that allows him to take two weeks holiday. Clearly, not a factory worker where they can only take a few days off each year.

Being able to work on SPR in his spare time, probably means he is in IT and reasonably well paid. Paid enough to be able to run home internet and have the freedom to spend time on SPR without a second job.


When you run a team of IT geeks, the last thing they want is to do admin. Some enjoy the crossover to the business side of things, most just hate it with a passion.

When he returns, maybe Georgem and a few others can take on the running of the day-to-day activities, such as communicating update, testing, etc.  

I would suggest that Mr.SPR be surrounded by those that can take on dealing with Fud.

Hippie Tech doesn't really count anymore. He is just like that annoying fly that you hear buzzing around but you learn to ignore.

Mr.SPR just needs to zone everything out and focus on coding. It's his project so he can weigh in and join conversations as and when.  But the one thing Evan has learned to do is avoid getting involved in most conversations. They are just distractions from the job at hand.

Let's see how far my assessment is off the mark.

Yes I agree as the dev knew the Masternodes wouldn't work and asked your opinions on what would seem good specs, he took you all for a ride up to 50Ksats then now down to 7Ksats.

You fan boys are saying look at his balance of 15,000 SPR, you do know 15K SPR is nothing compared to the amount everyone else has in the early stages that have been slowly dumping it, they are a group of individuals that hold the highest amounts in multiple wallets that have been slowly selling and buying from themselves and exited, that is why it's at the current price, Dev could of had more than 1 address as well (who wouldn't ) he even lost the original wallet he had (Supposedly)  

For sure he did not fake all donations, because one was mine. I am still bag holding also. Could be life happened to Mr. Spread, and I hope for him he will come out good, and I hope for us he will return and go on with his work. He deserves a lot of respect for the 6 months he has been running Spreadcoin, and I really hope he will return to continue. In the meantime, it would be a good idea that people from the community with skills take a look at the code and make some effort in getting to know it and maybe even make it better and take over if Mr. Spread might not return.
With this whole thing I realized that a true decentralized coin also should be coded by more than one developer, because now this has become a bottleneck and single point of failure. With more developers even more decentralization will be attained.

KEEP AWAY FROM SPR AND JUST LET IT DIE QUIETLY!
