All alts are in a major slump this time of year with more people trying to cash out money than invest it. This usually turns around on Christmas and accelerates through January.
Meanwhile, START implementation is being worked on right now and will be the first payment method on StartJoin coming soon.
Between the two I'd definitely expect a major rally in a few weeks. The price may be low, but there's not a lot of volume at this level, so no one's going to be loading up a serious amount here. Any activity on the buy side is going to push the price right back up in a very short time.
And I'm banging Katey Perry
So you have no argument against any of the content of my post. Excellent.
I will not empty my bag at these prices. I would better see some reasonable range or hold my bag for undetermined period of time.
People shouldn't treat these markets as if they're liquid all the time or like there's any semblance of true price discovery during low volume periods such as the entire altcoin market has been going through due to both the time of year and Bitcoin's rally. Times like these are for buying slowly or holding, not for selling. It's time for bargain hunting, not selling to bargain hunters.
The slow launch of the site combined with the state of altcoin markets mean buying is essentially on hold, which is enough to freak out some holders and cause them to sell into nothing, creating low volume dips that are fairly meaningless in the long run. This is hardly unusual and as volume picks back up after Christmas the prices will start to make more sense. Given that will happen at the same time StartJoin is picking up momentum and functionality means more fuel for the fire.
In all reality though, nothing will happen to the price until there is a reason for it to rise. That means that the price will not go up AT LEAST until the startcoin integration is done, but possibly some releases later. Taking into account the speed of development historically, i'm expecting at least a month, maybe 2 until this happens.
Until then, nobody will buy because they have no reason to. I sold a bunch at 1700ish and have no reason to buy back now because i don't see anything happening in the forseeable future. Meanwile, Karl Gray will continue to dump the StartCoin premine into the dead market to fund development.
I agree with you that the price will go up in the future Jason, but i'm also saying we will probably see triple digits before that.
