what settings do i use if i wanna solo mine and not going into a pool? for nvidia graphics card and ccminer
and if i mine in the pool, do i take the port 3333, 4444 or 5555 with an GTX 1080 TI

It doesn't really matter at this point as stratum difficulty keeps changing in the pool and currently it is way higher than the starting difficulty on port 5555. Go for that one, I did the same when I've started mining with my GTX970 (yeah, it's not a good card to mine with right now as the reward dropped for my hashrate significantly today
but I think it's temporary )Also... I hope devs can keep up with the increased interest for the coin

But my Pending Balance: 0.000000000 SUMO
Is there a problem ?

where can i see that confirmations for my coins ?
Click "pool blocks" and check maturity. Then check the time you ve started mining and you ll find the first block you have helped to be mined.

How does one set up a solo mining outfit? I'd like to use XMRig for it. The link on sumokoin.org is broken.
You will need to setup a (private) pool to solo mine this or any other cryptonight coin.

Ok i got it. Pressing "h" you see the hash results.
You can also use Claymore's Cryptonight GPU miner.

Don't forget to add "-allpools 1" to the config.
Stak has a built in dev fee, but there's instructions on the github on how to remove it - requires code compiling.
With Claymore simply add "-nofee 1" to config.
e.g.
NsGpuCNMiner -o stratum+tcp://pool.sumokoin.com:5555 -u Sumo***wjeijnZ -p x -allpools 1 -nofee 1
