These so-called "devs" will abandon the coin soon after the escrow is released to them.
And, even if they don't, they're incompetent and they're not professional C++ developers or effective project managers, for that matter.
The only hope for SYS as far as market confidence is new management with hard-core development expertise and street cred.
I disagree with the Moolah CEO - I think the opportunity cost and reputational damage will be more severe than you expect. You think you would've learned from Mintpal.

I just want to point out that this crash is purely the result of inpatient whiny people. You expect everything to be perfect from the get go and you want no risk. From what i see they have fixed or are fixing the issues.
Lots of iMpatient whiny people, such as myself, have used dozens of coins without encountering such a mess from Day One. Perhaps the crash had a little to do with the underlying technology based on an Outdated Version of Litecoin QT. It evidently wasn't designed to run the bolt-on accessories borrowed from NXT. And by all accounts they still don't run effectively. I gave up trying to run the new improved version, which crashed every time I closed it down. Doubtless it'll all be up and running once the coin's on a par with Doge. Then it's 'to the moon' via the Center of the Earth.Still, it's my own fault for being greedy and wanting to make a profit.

The wallet still not working for me
I run it as administrator and still after 10 minutes I see no window
Even the bitcoin wallet only takes a minut to open and that comes with a 25Gb blockchain

Here's a cold hard fact-
Mintpal had to shut down its wallet because.... it didn't work. They couldn't leave it up without losing money for themselves and their customers.

I sold yesterday because I have seen this kind of posting before. It happened in Voot. I luckily was not invested in Voot but I did watch. I am debating if I want to get back into this coin but I will not until the prices crashes more. Because lets face it with this many people complaining the price will go down.
this coin has 2 billion coins in total
to keep this coin @ 500 + sat it needs someting like a doge comunity ( in the good time,s )
insane amounts of coins and its hard to keep the price stable ( especialy wen peeps can mine and dump it )

I, like many don't have to re-download the blockchain. The amount of people with this problem is a small amount.
So if you close your wallet and reopen it, it shows up? Not just in the system tray?
Of course. I'm running it on two different Win 7 x64 boxes with no issues with needing to delete and redownload anything. I've opened and closed my wallet 100 times trying to break it to no avail. Many others have done the same. Getting ready to test it on some vista x32 and a vista x64 sitting here.
WIN7 64Bit here. Open wallet, get splash screen, wallet icon is only is system tray. can't open wallet. This is the latest DLed wallet. Sorry, to me the wallet isn't working.

Just as a matter of interest can anyone recall how much time elapsed between the start of trade on Mintpal and the notice that deposits/withdrawals were suspended due to issues with the wallets?
Because that's the only period for which it can be claimed that this was a functional coin.
Perhaps it could be repackaged and relaunched as the NorwegianBlueCoin.

I am not disputing that fact at all. However, the fact that the coin did work (albeit for a very brief period of time); is what led us in to mediation and giving a window of opportunity to fix the issues that had popped up. This is not another clone coin, at the end of the day.
