Actually what is interesting is that Mark has/is creating a market where crypto currency can be used and THEN created a coin to service it. This in itself makes TAG pretty much unique. Every other coin, including Bitcoin, has been created first and then they have tried to chase a viable market to use it in. It's like "shit... if no one can use this coin outside of exchanging it for USD, we are screwed", which is the position 99% of the alt coins are/will be in.
BTC has landed on it's feet as it (now) has markets that will accept it. More luck than anything else.. It also has become a defacto currency in a lot of 3rd world countries where their reserve fiat sucks (I'm looking at you Mugabe) BTC hit record highs today less than a month after Silk Road got closed down, which is pretty impressive. So much for just being THE SR coin. Yes, I know, I'm rambling
My point is that TAG shows real potential because there will be a real world demand for the coin from nearly the start. I have no problems with the coin originating in the Philippines but that market alone wont sustain it. It needs to be known as a global trading platform which I'm sure Mark is ramping up to. As for an earlier post that Mark hoped that in 12 months 1 TAG = 10 USD. Hope you're right mate
BTW Mark. My brother owns a place in the Philippines and spends about 3 months a year there. He nearly married a local girl until he discovered that Danielle used to be Daniel!
This business is interesting.
Your team page is impressive.
http://tagbond.com/site/aboutIt's really nice to see real entrepreneurs in this space and wish you the best.
I can't help but feel some of the jargon is an obstacle you need to overcome to explain the whole concept better, maybe with some really simple diagrams or flash snippets or something. TagVert, TagBond, TagBand, NFC, RFID, QR Code, Universal ID, it's a lot to digest at first and it seems a lot to throw at somebody who might simply be looking into how you can help their business with coupons for example. I haven't actually logged in or tried it yet, this is just from reading the pages on tagbond.com, and I am kinda tired atm so apologies if I'm alone on this.
