I LOVE TAG!!!

For those of you jumping ship; why? It makes ZERO sense. TAG has a developer that has stuck to the coin and has devoted his life to it (it seems). He has a TEAM/business behind it and is constantly adding things to it.

You all sit here and throw stones about this and that, the ONLY problem with this coin is the orphan issue that's caused by POS.

If you all take a step back and look at the project as a whole and compare it to ANY other coin, you'll realize this one is WAY different than any. I really believe the TAG can and will thrive in the future.

I 'm also out a couple of hundred dollars on the project and only came on board at the start because of the PoS aspect.  I'll let my TAG sit in their wallet (they've all been paid for, so I can wait).

I'm no expert on anything, I'm just a trader and a miner. My only suggestions are to remove PoS and to include Coin Control. All other alt-coins have it, and now Bitcoin Core has it. That's just the technical part of the coin.

This is supposed to be a 4 minute block time coin. There aren't supposed to be any orphans anymore at it's current hashrate. Bitcoin is a 10 minute coin. It takes 2 seconds for a transaction to reach 90% of the network, and 20 seconds for a block to propagate, so 10 minutes is a lot of time for miners and pools to know if what is a good block or not.

So TAG is a little less than half the time of Bitcoin, but it's not as big. However it still should take only at most 5 seconds for transactions to reach 90% of the network, and at most 60 seconds for blocks to propagate.

I don't know how and I don't know why, and most people could care less exactly how or why (just the coders and geeks will want to figure it out), but you take out PoS, you'll only lose those who believe in "investing" 1.5% per year.

At any point in time, now, and even in the far future, one can purchase any miner or GPU and make more than that 1.5% in a month. So, I'm just speaking from "common sense" here.

If you make the PoS a higher number, then you'll attract the hoarders; those people don't really mine, they just buy, speculate, hold, and nothing moves.

I do believe you have already sort of worked out the issue, and tagmining is the official pool. As far as miners are concerned, they get what is due them. As far as the pool and op is concerned, you got his back.

So maybe the PoS issue isn't as much of an issue anymore, as long as miners mine on the official pool. Those who mine on other pools risk getting orphans or those who operate those other pools risk paying out for orphans.

As for the rest, well, I'll HODL what I have even though it's not much.

I guess the point of my post now is, coin control.

Mark- Yes, I ran a successful business for over 20 years plus I helped my brother set up and run a business (on my coin).  It was tough at the start and yes my house was on the line more than once.  But I worked hard and eventually got to the stage that someone made me an offer I couldn't refuse.  Now I work for them. Saving a fortune on blood pressure tablets

Reading back, yes, I've been a bit narky and I apologise.  But am I the only one? Is there a pattern?

I deleted the extra comment. I should know better, but I am just fed up with people giving non constructive criticism. I am also blunt and to the point, but doing so on this forum just gets flak, as I knew this would.

Perhaps next time someone gives some advice, they can back it with their own credentials. Knowing the internet and forums, too many many hide behind their online personas, and can fling out comments with no consequence. I listen to people with real business experience, but it just seems there are many online "experts" who can do things better...

And this is how the CEO of a supposedly multi-million dollar venture replies to a biting, yet truthful remark... you launch a blind personal attack?

Since I happen to know John personally... you actually would do well to listen to him since he is a successful businessman with several businesses to his credit and now runs a regional division of a national corporation here in Australia... maybe as a successful businessman he is actually had quite enough of the smoke and mirrors and understands that in the real world where the bank will take your home if you don't run a business successfully, you are exhibiting the classic signs of a failing business grasping at straws to keep the doors open.

You already have a less than stellar record of communicating well with vested interests in your project, so it would be wise to consider how you reply, because John's reply is really a reflection of how you have been replying to all us for the past few months when we have been voicing concerns and questions.

I think you really under estimate the miners and supporters that you have attracted to TAG, I know 4 of the folks here personally, and all of us are successful and aggressive business people who looked at the Tagbond business plan and made the decision to invest our resources into helping you launch TAG. So we all are pretty well acquainted with the running of start-ups and the energy and hard worked need to make them success. We also are experienced enough to know when we are being led down the garden path.

John, like yourself and others here, tend not mince words and do not suffer fools lightly.

Like my son tells some of our employees at times when they start making excuses and trying garner pity for poor performance, 'Caring is a luxury I cannot afford, so just get on with it'.

@Johndec2 - we need the API for vskype for us and others to display pricing in TAG for our own sites and mobile apps and for others to use in their sites. Also for marketing purposes to keep TAG in people's minds, and a way to promote the idea of TAG is to put out a calculator similar to preev. So yes, it is one of the building blocks needed.
