Not sure what you mean by default? I am trying to follow your instructions- "backup wallet.dat and copy to linux machine" I've built a linux machine and now all I need to do is figure out how to transfer my wallet from windows and import into linux wallet.

Run the command: snowgem-cli.exe getnewaddress in windows.

It's known issue and we are fixing. The wallet.dat is OK and the address which you've just generated can be used normally.
