45 blocks until hard fork!!

It took a lot of time, so what are we going to expect after the hard fork?

At the very least we will see more stable block times and difficulty, helping to prevent "diff jumpers" from mining hundreds of blocks in a few hours with rented hash power. This will also assist in fair distribution.

Between total supply and age of the chain, Terracoin is still a relatively scarce cryptocurrency.

The next step will be the push to bring it back in to the eyes of small miners and the general public. I still remember TRC in its peak days before it was attacked... trying to work our way back to the "golden days"  Smiley

As I said erlier, vircurex "staff" is EXTREMELY slow responding to anything if they ever do. The wallet services were all down for over a month once before they were put back online.

It does not hurt of course, might be that he drowns in emails anyway Smiley. Have you asked what's required to be registered at Poloniex?

I have looked into both Poloniex and Bittrex but I am not going to request anything until a few weeks after the hard fork.

Aiming for bittrex is a good start right now  and has a better chance  than hitting on poloniex. few more hundred blocks before TRC hits the hardfork

I am going to "apply" for both, and then if they want BTC to add we will go from there.  That is still like two weeks off though.

Like you said, a few hours until the hard fork...Right when I go to bed. Angry

If anyone has any issues make sure to post them on here or the github.  https://github.com/clockuniverse/terracoin/issues

We expect this to go pretty smoothly, but you never know!

I started warning them over a month ago.  I think the guy who runs it sometimes leaves for long periods of time, but I thought I would try once again.

While I was writing this final gasp for Vircurex to update their wallet, someone emailed me and said they were having problems sending between Vircurex and other wallets.

We are about a 1000 blocks away from the hard fork.

Here is the email I just sent Vircurex.

Subject: Last Chance to update the TRC wallet before hard fork

In about a day TRC will hard fork, and any coins sent from your old wallet by your users to the new wallet will be lost forever.  You have had some good volume on your site recently while people pick up whatever TRC they can so that they can move it to a wallet that is running the updated code.  We already have another exchange running the new wallet (Cryptopia) and the TRC Foundation plans on adding two other exchanges in the near future.

Most mining sites have also updated their wallet to the new code, and the few who haven't will notice the drop in hash and look around to discover why.  Then they will update their wallets.

No one is trying to screw anyone over, and I have emailed you multiple times warning of this happening.

I really don't want the users on your exchange to lose money, nor do I want your exchange to lose money.  Your exchange has been a stronghold for TRC for a long time, but the time has come to update the wallet or doom many poor users to a huge tragedy.

so I see 2 items of change:
1. moving to MM (like Name, Uno)
2. faster diff recal

not radical, just common sense improvements, more like a smart fork than a 'hard' fork.
good luck, always bumpy for at least a week or more Wink

Nice name for it.  A smart fork it is.

I usually describe it as getting Terracoin to the present to we can move forward to the future.

I imagine the next week or so will be bumpy.  We will work through it!

Did you send mail to this mining pool?
http://www.ispace.co.uk

They also operating for TRC. But it seems that they still have the old server node. >> "subver": "/SatoshiClone:0.8.0.5/"
it should be also updated to have new one, i think its needed for the dev or the community to inform them.

iSpace Terracoin wallet has now been upgraded.

A little over two days before the hard fork!!
Update your wallet to 9.12.1 now before you lose coins!
https://github.com/clockuniverse/terracoin

Coinwarz are using windoze?!.....

They use both Linux and Windows to load balance.

Luckily, this issue is only with the Windows daemon and it doesn't affect anything else.

Our Windows exe guy is working on the issue, but if anyone else wants to join the TRC Foundation and be our official Windows support dude it would be much appreciated.  Thanks!
nice knowing that  the problem was already been address and we just needed to wait for some updates regarding to this concern, good luck dev.
