The graphics of the site are not in line with cryptoworld community expectations, from my point of view.

How do you add them?
I tried creating a terracoin.conf file in the roaming/terracoin folder but no change.

Glad to see the new site and all your hard work. I am really hopeful about the near future of Terracoin.

August 10th Terracoin Update - Forward

This week has been an exciting week of moving forward.

We released an updated website at terracoin.io (terracoin.info and terracoin.net are now forwarded to that site), and we are very very close to releasing the testnet.

I am syncing with the new code as I type and it has gotten past the issue we were having last week.

I may have broken the DNS seed node when I switch terracoin.info to terracoin.io, so tell me if you are having any issues.

The new website looks awesome thanks to Rehrar, and we plan to add more info and guides as we create them.

As with every new website there are a few typos, etc.  We will get those fixed as soon as possible.  Always feel free to contact me with anything that you see!  (I am notorious for tpyos.)

Reward halving = happened a few days ago.  The TRC mining block rewards are now 10 TRC instead of 20 TRC. Next one is scheduled for about 4 years from now.  This does not effect the masternode reward schedule once it is in place.  We have been using 10 TRC for the math for a while now.

Testnet = Any day now

Hard fork = 7 Weeks

Numbers

30 days ago we were at 0.00001633 BTC (.0383 USD) and today we are at 0.00002544 BTC (.0869 USD).

Terracoin reward halving happens in about 4 hours.

Reward halving is when the block reward cuts in half.  So now each Terracoin block that is mined give a reward of 10 TRC instead of 20 TRC.  We have been using the 10 TRC number when we have been doing our calculations for masternodes.

EDIT: Added some clarification on what reward halving is.

I'm just guessing here, but from the poll at the top of this thread and from what people have told me, probably a couple hundred.

Does anybody have rough estimates how many MN are likely to exist in the beginning?

The planned block reward halving happens in about 3 days (and has been planned for years now).  This will reduce the block reward from 20 TRC to 10 TRC.  We have been using the new number (10) for all of our calculations since then.

Block rewards after the halving, and after masternode implementation are:

45% to miners
45% to masternodes
10% to decentralized governance

Do I correctly understand that Masternodes will receive 22,5% from each block reward?

P.S. By the way, it will be block reward halving very soon, so MN will get only 1620 per day, right?

August 3rd Terracoin Update - auxpow

We are going to have to push the testnet out another week, because we are having issues getting auxpow to work with the DASH code.  We are keeping the same hard fork deadline (7 weeks from now), and we are bringing in another developer to help us sort out the problem.

Luckily, we padded our testing phase just in case something like this happened.

He hasn't updated any of the graphics or anything.  That can be done after the testnet is up and running.

We also will be messing with the Crowncoin code since they have already implemented auxpow into DASH's code.

We apologize for the delay, and we are doing everything we can to get the testnet up and running as soon as possible.

On another note I have had a chance to check out a beta version of the website and it looks amazing!

There aren't any masternodes online yet.  We are still about a month and a half from that.

wow and the dividends out from the master node will be profitable while the value of trc still uncertain i think better to keep collecting and
saving inside a wallet and possible to be part of master node it will bring more profits from time to time.

How many MN online?

5000 TRC for a masternode.

Payment per day depends on how many masternodes there are.

3240 TRC is split between all of the masternodes per day.  It is randomly distributed, but evens out to that amount in the long run.
