Steps to get on Bittrex:

https://bittrex.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/202583854-Submitting-a-Coin-to-Bittrex

"To help speed up the process of deploying your coin, we require the following information sent to [email protected]:

    Coin Name
Enhanced Verified Account of team member on Bittrex - This team member must be either a core developer or a major shareholder (10% or more) of a company that backs the development of the coin.  That member will need to submit identifying documents to get their account enhanced verified.
Description of your coin -  Why does it exist and what makes it unique?  What new technology or business concept are you bringing to the blockchain? If your ANN thread only has coin specs on it, you are not going to get listed on Bittrex.
Coin trading symbol - The ticker needs to be 3-5 letters and cannot contain any symbols or numbers.  Please verify that your preferred symbol is not already in use on our exchange or any other.  There are a number of services that track coin prices that require the symbols to be unique. Even if the symbol is not on our exchange anymore, we won't reuse it.  Consider your symbol carefully because we will not change it once it is set.
A logo for your coin - png format with a transparent background.  The logo should be square with dimensions of 1000x1000 pixels with no white space on its border and no taglines.  It should only be a logo and expect it to show up in multiple spots in the Bittrex UI.
    Launch Date (past or future)
Github Link - We only accept source code.  We will not run a binary that you provide us.
Did you raise money/bitcoin to launch your coin?  (i.e. a CFC/ICO)
Did you have a premine?  How much is it?  Is it escrowed?
What is the max money supply for your coin?
    Exchanges you are currently on
    Official blockchain explorer
What is your TxFee for a transaction
Any social media information such as your official website, twitter account, facebook page, subreddit, etc."

I got word back from livecoin.net and they said, "Hello. Sorry, we can't take new coins right now, since our Exchange is under technical update. We only accept contracts/assets on ETH, BTS, LSK in a very slow mode."

I am not sure what that means considering they have added a few other coins, and you can sometimes get to their voting page.

Anyone have any info on what is going on with them?

You pay BTC2.5 then they add the selected coin Roll Eyes

They had voting up till like last week, which is what I submitted Terracoin to.

Once decentralized governance is implemented we will just have to put in proposals to get onto these pay to play exchanges.

On Debian 8 Digital Ocean VPS:
./terracoind: error while loading shared libraries: libboost_system.so.1.58.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

On Ubuntu 16.04:
-bash: ./terracoind: cannot execute binary file: Exec format error

Your best bet is to compile yourself. Debian 8 (current stable iirr) runs libboost 1.55 (testing runs 1.58 I am willing to bet)

Ubuntu 16.04 issue looks like its compile for x86_64 and your running on x86 (or vice versa if x86 multi-arch is not setup and it is compiled with x86 architecture and your OS is 64bit).

People have been asking for Linux binaries, so I thought I would put these test compiles up.

These don't include any DASH code, and only have one minor change to the code.

I wanted to make sure I can have Linux binaries available when the time comes.

https://github.com/clockuniverse/terracoin/releases/tag/v9.12.1-Ubuntu-test

Someone please test them out and tell me if they work.  Thanks!

I get errors on all my machines local & vps.

On 2 different Debian 8:
bash: ./terracoind: cannot execute binary file: Exec format error

On Debian 8 Digital Ocean VPS:
./terracoind: error while loading shared libraries: libboost_system.so.1.58.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

On Ubuntu 16.04:
-bash: ./terracoind: cannot execute binary file: Exec format error

I have all the shared libraries installed and also did chmod u+x terracoind on all of my machines.

I will set up auto-invites at some point.

Make it asap. Slack buzz never hurt )

Here is a public slack invite link:  https://terracoin.slack.com/shared_invite/MTgzODE5MDQyMjk1LTE0OTQ2MjI1NzYtZWQyZGYzMWU2OQ

It only lasts for 30 days then I will have to have them set it up again.

For some reason it is surprisingly complicated.  It seems like it should just be a button you click on.

I think we need a Slack channel ASAP to form and organize a community

We have a slack for the core team.

I believe that organizing the community on here is a better solution because people who are just strolling by can see that there is activity.  Also people who don't want to join a slack channel have the opportunity to see what is going on and participate.

With a slack we can organize better than here in a forum post I assure you, and it's more convenient for people who really will help out. You can always post here major announcements regardless you have a slack or not.

Ultimately the decision is yours, but I think you should consider it.

You talked me into it.  PM me your email address and I will invite you.  Anyone else who wants to join can PM me too.

I will set up auto-invites at some point.

May 11th Update – Explosion

Hello everyone!

This week has seen an explosive gain in Bitcoin price, and so far Terracoin has weathered the storm pretty well.

Though the Terracoin price has fallen when compared to Bitcoin; it has been a little higher or about the same when compared to USD.

I believe this means that most people are unwilling to part with their Terracoin even though they could cash out for Bitcoin and sell for USD.

The Terracoin Foundation is still working on adding DASH’s decentralized governance, masternodes and instant send.

Our web designer had a hard drive crash last week and has had to start over on the website.  This is a setback, but not the end of the world.  We are still dedicated to updating the website.

This week we fixed the seed node issue by setting up a DNS seed node at seed.terracoin.info.

We updated the code on my github: https://github.com/clockuniverse/terracoin

We will have updated Windows exes soon.

I was asked to provide Linux binaries, so I compiled some and have them available on github as well. They have only been tested by one person so feel free to test them and get back to me.

Now for the numbers!

30 days ago we were at 0.00000976 BTC (.0117 USD) and today we are at 0.00001063 BTC (.0194 USD.) In the past 7 days we have been over the 2 cent mark for most of the week.

We are ranked 248 on coinmarketcap with a market cap of $384,615 USD.  Last week our market cap was $368,098 USD.

Thanks for testing it out!  If anyone else has any issues please tell me.

I am going to leave it as a test release for now.  Thanks!

Since C-Cex's API has been regularly failing for long periods of time I have decided to start submitting Terracoin to other exchanges before the planned hard fork.

We are only listed on 4 exchanges, and if one goes down it hurts Terracoin in the long run.

We need sturdy exchanges that can handle the up coming changes.  The fork that we plan should be easily implemented.

I just submitted Terracoin to Livecoin, and I will submit Terracoin to any other exchanges you guys recommends.  I will also email Poloniex, Bittrex, and Bter to see if they are willing to reconsider adding TRC.

If you have any ideas for exchanges that you would like Terracoin added to, then feel free to post on here.

Thanks!
I think Bittrex makes the most sense right now. Thanks for playing a big part of this great community Smiley

No problem! That is what I am here for, and with this community it is easy!

Remember we are always looking for more members of the team to work on a variety of things.  Mostly right now we need more developers, and marketing people.

I will definitely email Bittrex and see how they feel about it.  I decided last night that we are going to throw up a couple of seed nodes and fix the seed node code first.  I don't want the exchanges to have any problems setting up the wallet.  Besides the code change won't effect anyone who already has an active wallet and it will make it easier for new people to join.
