 Isn't it Cryptopia's cold storage? This exchange have to have at least 2,5M+ stored somewhere.

I happened to check the rich list just now and noticed this person.

2 million in TRC which appeared 21 days ago (right after the first update that I did).  It looks like someone consolidating their addresses into one lump.  There is no way that they bought that recently because there has only been like 500,000 for sale in a long time.  (There is only 300,000 TRC available right now)

I can't think of anyone who has a huge number of TRC spread out over a ton of addresses besides an exchange.

Is there anyone who is good at tracking addresses to figure out what is going on with this address?

I seriously doubt they are planning on dumping all of it because they wouldn't get any profit from it.

Large whales like this can actually be an assets because they can help control pump and dumps by dumping when a pump happens.  Though this address hasn't shown any inclination for doing that.

4.27.17 Terracoin Update – Link Bonanza

Another week has passed and we are still making progress on improving the future of Terracoin!

SixofFive is overworking himself on the code and is pretty close to fixing the testnet which will allow us to properly test the hard fork once we are at that stage.

Rehrar has revealed a sneak peak of his web design.  See the link below.

I raised the idea of Segwit again and we are not sure that we will be able to implement it at this time.  DASH’s decentralized governance is our main goal, and we can always implement SegWit with a soft fork at a later time.

Adding DASH’s anonymous transactions, Darksend, was also brought up again because it is part of the DASH code that we are adding and anonymous transactions is something that most people want.  Darksend could cause issues if a state government decided to ban coins with anonymous transactions and it is easier to add later with a soft fork, then take away with a hard fork.

Nothing is off the table, but it may be better to wait till the voting/masternodes is implemented so that there is a more democratic approach to the future of Terracoin.

The original developer of TRC was kind enough to tell me he was closing down the terracoin user on github so I was able to grab it.  We will be using this in the future (another sneak peak).  We updated the github Sunday night to reflect the commits from my clockuniverse github.  It now shows up on the github search!  The next version of the code/releases will be uploaded there.

Now for the Link Bonanza.  I thought it would be a good idea to have an easy to find update of all of the new ANNs etc.

30 days ago we were at 0.00000405 BTC (.0042 USD) and today we are at 0.00001333 BTC (.0176 USD.)  In the past 7 days we have not gone over the 2 cent price once.

We are ranked 234 on coinmarketcap with a market cap of $344,377 USD.  Last week our market cap was $297,425 USD.

I think most of those whale wallets are held by people who have no idea that Terracoin even exists anymore.  Eventually they will find out and probably dump some, but I also think if I was them I would wait to see if it keeps slowly raising and only dump a little at a time.

I guess the best thing to do is for everyone to get the word out that Terracoin is under development again!

 Devteam are finally doing something, not just dreaming ). And we actually need more sellers to wake up : too little amount is tradable right now. Demand is higher than supply, but it's way too risky to buy while so many coins are frozen, so the market is skidding right now.

That statement is very true.

Concentrating on masternode implementation whenever I get time to code these days. While I would like to spread myself thinner, I don't believe I have time to implement segwit as well, but we'll see what happens.

 If we are able to implement all that shortly, that's really cool. Any comments from SixofFive?

I have been thinking, and I think that we should implement Segwit during this hard fork.  I think if we are going to have a hard fork then we should implement as many features as possible at this time.  If anyone else has any feature ideas then please post them.  Thanks!

I am waiting for the hard fork before we push for more exchanges.  Once that happens I will have another go at Poloniex and Bittrex.  I will also be adding us to the voting on Livecoin.

I think if the android wallet can export private key, you can still use the coins in the address of it through the desktop wallet.

4.20.17 Terracoin Update – Working Hard

Hello everyone, I have another Terracoin update for you.  I am not sure if I am going to do this every week or not, but we will see!

Rehrar and SixofFive are hard at work on the new website and the new wallet, respectively.

In order to help attract new users to the Terracoin community, Cyniaxi is working on two new guides for novice Terracoin users.  One is about how to merge mine and the other is about how to manually add nodes.  

We have started discussing ways to make Terracoin a cryptocoin for the world.  One of which is to donate regularly to non-profit organizations that help make the world a better place.  There are two ways we can do this after the DASH masternodes are implemented.  One way is to donate the net profit  of The Terracoin Foundation masternode to non-profit organizations and the other way is to put in proposals and ask for donations which would be donated to non-profits.

SegWit is still on the table, mostly because we haven’t discussed it much.  We are concentrating on DASH’s decentralized governance right now.

We have added another new volunteer johnwhitestar.  He has translated our ANN into Italian and is willing to translate the new website to Italian once it is ready.

As hanzac suggested a while ago we are thinking about coding in a dynamic seed node list that is pulled from the website so that we won’t run into our current problem with new wallets having issues finding nodes.
