There was a similar problem. On the developer's recommendation, I added "addnode = hugcoin.online" to hug.conf and it all worked

The NodeAddress is displayed in the Node Checker. You can find this address in your wallet. Before you worry, wait 5 minutes! If you don't see your address in 5 minutes then write me a p.m.!

Maybe, If you want to support the HUG network, you must allow inbound connections. Computers connected directly to the Internet usually don’t require any special configuration. Home connections are usually filtered by a router or modem. HUG wallet will request your router automatically configure itself to allow inbound connections to port 11111.
