I don't understand why these devs think they can just lie about premine, the blockchain is public everybody and anyone can see any transaction.

If you have the windows client you can go to help and then debug window.
Click the tab for console
Type: getblockhash 1
This gives you the blockhash for the very first block
Type: getblock and copy the blockhash, in this case it looks like: getblock 000003bc73d4b7f3fd328c3c114348ad61eab941c3ef9d49b81b7dc0c95ffb8b
The client will return the block and you can see how much they premined

Or you can just look in the source on the github.

Very likely the dev will sell off everything he can for 1 satoshi each the moment it hits an exchange, making it valueless for everyone who mines for days to get just a few and killing it, while he walks away with a wealthy profit.... Don't know if I would support this one...

People are understanding the need for premine if its used correctly. Why not be transparent about it? (unless you plan to use it maliciously) You have to realize people would find out lol.
