I propose we call TGC "tigers" and 0.01 TGC cubs!

For example: "I have a spare humble bundle from last weeks sale, you can have it for 100 tigers."
Or "You can have extra batteries for 50 cubs!

Any takes on this?

lmao, I like more cubs Smiley

Thank you for taking the time to explain this.  As someone who's been around awhile but never delved into some of the intricacies of the actual transaction processes, it's nice to understand a bit of it.

So if you would, what does this block mean?  http://bit.usr.sh:2750/tx/098837384b8a6dc78ddd647d6fbe453ef2dd311036b64d4fba536727bd2111f4

I think this is a transaction of block 7042
http://bit.usr.sh:2750/block/00000000000a98e6a7b12b3fd4f8ba009d9bd24abf32852fa8f215a1162e4ab7
the generated 512 coins (from a superblock) are sent to 4 different addresses (possibly as part of a mining pool).

Well in a block there are generated coins (minted coins), transaction fee, and transactions. To see what is the generated coins from mining, check the number after "Generation" (usually on the1st line). If it says "Generation: 512", then it is a superblock of 512-coins.

For example, block 7266 includes mined coins of 128 (1st line) with zero fee, and two transactions (2nd line) of 8.99308545 TGCs and 52.83847361 TGCs to two addresses, respectively.

switchover happened at block 4001, it seems that it is a success. Now we are at block 4003, and there's no problem.

The random generation seems working fine, as I see in the log:

Quote
>> cseed = 1aa75e3, nHeight = 4001, rand = 11903
>> cseed = 53b3e14, nHeight = 4002, rand = 9857
>> cseed = 5406ce6, nHeight = 4003, rand = 13082
>> cseed = 6a6778a, nHeight = 4004, rand = 15

Now let's just wait the random number falls into specific zones and superblocks will be generated.

haven seen any SBlocks, did see some weird payouts normal is 128.00 but also see 128.0001...
Anyone seen these blocks  Huh

I think I got the first v1.1 superblock!
As Sam above my post explained it was fees!

0.0001 should be a transaction fee paid to the hosting/transferring node. So if you happen to be that node, you'll get it.

And you see superblocks in the block explorer, the most recent one is block 7146, with 512-coin payout:

Anyone think the price will rise after the halving?

Hope so, I really like this coin, it's already on CoinEX and if it will be traded on Cryptsy and other exchanges it may become even more popular.
Maybe the OP or someone else could ask other exchanges if they will accept this coin in the future since there is no premine?

I'd love to see a website like https://bittit.info/

for tigercoin... The faster confirmation would work great with the function this type of site!

I'll send these guys an e-mail to make a tigercoin clone if they can... I'd try to make something myself but I lack the programming skill to do it myself.

Edit: The site's devs don't seem to be active.

i was fully expecting to come in here and rag on this coin. this coin is really wierd, but after i read the op i'm atleast intrigued about some of its features. i still don't understand the infatuation of people lately with these high block reward coins? it makes no sense to me. i would love to hear more about the "inflationary sustaining blocks" and how they work and what purpose they actually serve.

From what I understand the block reward never drops below 1 so that miners get something when all else ends....

The inflation would be very slow that way as there would be significantly less than 2% more money supply every year and that number would keep falling as a percentage of the whole. Considering that some money is destroyed (lost wallet.dat files)  that system seems to be better than having a limited money supply.

The blockchain in every cryptocurrency must keep getting generated and while this doesn't require any significant amount of miners, if there aren't enough miners people can 51% a coin so it is to a coin's advantage to keep getting mined forever at a significant rate. Transactions only may become too small of a reward.

Less than 100 blocks til reward halving, after block 5760 back to 128 TGC per block.
Get the last few fat blocks while you can!
