Yea that looks to be working, if you are seeing stratum connection errors, it could be potentially that particular mining pool or your own connection.

Also the pool has to find a block that you have shares in before it will update your hashrate.

mining with a video card is a suicide..

sgminer itself is not a virus, a lot of anti-virus software like to pick it up as a false positive as a "bitcoin miner"

Usually disabling your anti-virus to run mining software has to be done

One way you can ensure that the sgminer you have is not a virus is by compiling it directly from the github: https://github.com/nicehash/sgminer
Otherwise best place to download sgminer: https://github.com/nicehash/sgminer/releases

It's extremely common for antivirus software to see mining software as a virus. Very, very, common. False positives are common. Just make sure you get it from a reputable source.

Right now, trying with the 1.8.0. I can't get a connection to the server stratum+tcp://theminingpool.thruhere.net:7522.

I didn't use The Mining Pool. Here is my bat.

ccminer-x64 -a x11 -o stratum+tcp://stratum1.maxminers.net:7433 -u username.workername -p password --show-diff --cpu-priority 4

I honestly have no idea what cpu-priority does and it's probably not needed but no need to fix what's not broken.

I use the same line for every algo. Simply change -a to whatever algo you need, -o to whatever host, and -u to either your wallet address or username.workername. Depends on the pool.

Maybe Carsen knows what the other settings do or if they are needed. I am still learning. But I've used 1.8.0 to mine LBRY, Blake2s, Scrypt, X11, and X13 coins.

Make sure .bat file is in the same folder as sgminer.exe, and make sure your antivirus doesn't eat the .exe.

TOR can easily be used for this, it supports Stealth Addresses.

If you have an AMD GPU, I would recommend using sgminer and setting it to -I 16, you'll maximize your hashrate. (I get about 1.5 - 1.7 MH/sec with one R7 370)
