I put 15btc into the auction.   It was an investment into a project that was in the need of some funds with a dev that was willing to work.    I don't feel it is a scam and it really hasn't been that long.    I think the dev would rather spend some time coding than dealing with forums but it is a balance.   This project is really small and if work can be done and grow the project, great.

When I spent coins on ETH or Augur, it was well over a year til we saw anything.  Sure there were updates but that was due to the team size and amount of funds.   Here we have a different story and one should expect much less communication and updates.

No need to turn this thread toxic.

you paid 15 btc and you did not receive single coin since 27.08.16 , block #50689, counting 4,15 uniq per block  (this number was changed later to 3,15uniq) its like you are missing approx. 140k coins...
such things should be corrected immediatelly...

Yah,  I have not received block reward since 9/9 ...   Sure, it will be over 100k.   Is what it is.

I was speaking to some contacts about using the software as a base to launch a proper p2p loan company.

The dev seemed up for being the CEO and getting it registered with the proper authorities in the UK.

p2p loans is a massive growth market. All the software needed to do was, err, p2p loans. None of that assets stuff.

It's still a viable option.

Forget-about-it
Well hopefully he will end up doing the right thing, he can prove it to himself that these 2 years were not for nothing. This was always a long shot but the dude did a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot of hard work as TLC said. I doubt anyone including the dev wanted it to end up in a situation where its just patch after patch on complicated code that always appears to be a few weeks forom breaking through.
Personally I havent run a node in ages. Just sitting on my coins. Dev is free to reach out here, or PM or on slack to all or any of us when there is something to show for our patience (leading up til now) and our investment... and his investment of time and likely monetary as well... Zero sum game, no ones made anything off it except headache so I'm hesitant to call it a direct scam. Anyone who put in BTC knew what it was meant to pay for in terms of development.

Sorry about your HDD by the way TLC,  :/

I've been away and busy with other stuff... if all this is true, in a way it's moot to me because just after Uniq went live I had a screw up involving two identical Samsung 850 drives and installed Win 7 and Doom over the one with my only copy of my Uniq wallet on it, so I blew my 115000 Uniq anyway.

Tried the usual forensic tools as soon as I realised my screw up but it was toast. Would have been OK as I usually keep copies of my privkeys seperately, but I'd just sent some Uniq to Bittrex for my bot to play with and hadn't ticked the 'send change back to the same address' box as I normally do, so SOL.

Still, Doom was pretty good, SP anyway. Smiley

Probably I lost far less than many of you, but on the other hand I put hundreds of hours into learning how to bend and shape the standard Bitcoin QT client and I think I've taken it as far from standard as anyone has without actually starting from scratch, so overall I'm viewing the whole thing as a learning experience.

Still seems odd to me that the dev went the scam route (if he did) - the guy had skills and put in way more hours than I did, 30 BTC or whatever doesn't seem like much for all that effort.

Thanx proletariat nad tommyj1 for such accurate details, now everything fits, there were  a lot of warnings from a beginning but greedy mind rejects it.

Who would be willing to continue this project even if reversing to pre-mine snapshot would be done, to keep blockchain moving there would be need for not-competitive mining (without hashrate spikes up and down).

And the last, as far as I remember Tuko has ended very bad

I propose a swap back to the snapshot without his new pre-mine and the blockshares to it's rightful owners as a start plus a dev fund.

The only thing the rodent dev left was a coin in bittrex and that's about to be done with as well.
Remove any bids you might have because he moved part of the premine recently.

From the top of my head and from what is most recent, Tuko Nghihalua scammed people out of their BTC totalling somewhere close to 50 Bitcoins, that is around $30,000 USD stolen. But in the span of 20 months the number is quite higher but of course that is hard to account for - Dev funds, plus bitcoins from bids. He went as far as stealing new coins from the miners and bidders on a daily basis, and that "feature" was ported to the new UNIQ code, sweet huh?

well not over yet. out of the "crowdfund coins" Tuko Nghihalua stole another 200K coins on september 23rd now sitting here https://chainz.cryptoid.info/uniq/address.dws?UU1t8RwDDHxMfG1eLegev3ogz7KCBpnSVZ.htm ... You can be certain that's a bittrex wallet.
