If we bid is it also necessary to import our private key into the wallet prior to the deadline or can it wait till after?

Just curious because I still haven't downloaded virtual box so I that I can get the wallet up and running.

If you are talking about BlockShares , then you can import your key when ever you want. Bidding closes on the 13th of July. More detailed information on BlockShares can be found here : https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-uniqredit-p2p-lending-blockshares-techstrap-1543861 Please, for all UniQ inquiries use the linked thread.

For the UniQ ANN see here : https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.15518842

Please keep BCR specific queries here, i'd like to keep clear separation between the two.

Our contact in Bittrex has asked for time to verify their balances so meanwhile , Blockshares are now open for bidding at the following address:

https://blockchain.info/address/1UniQ1TiDyGbB7KXejnjUAZMEjLCyiEPe

The Blockshare program works as follows and is the replacement of the current bidding system until i can come up with something better:

Users will have ONE WEEK EXACTLY, from now to send BTC to the above address, 80% of the block reward will go to these users for the next year. This means 4/5 goes to the donors who donate to this fund. There are a total 350 shares, each representing 0.1 UNIQ. Rather than setting a price, this is an open auction, ie the entire 350 shares will divided among the bidders, so if there is only one bidder, they will own all the shares.

Blockshares are transferable to other users every 3 months (4 transfer windows per year) The, procedure will posted after the auction is over.

The key advantages of the new system are that it does not rely on outside information and all recipients are HARD CODED as part of the client, meaning that any block that does not pay the appropriate amount to each and every donor will be rejected by the network, it is not possible to cheat the system.

A bit confused with all the changes.    Checked on Bittrex and the wallet is under maintenance and appears to be correct but we won't know for sure until the wallet is no longer under maintenance, i assume?

With the Blockshares auction mentioned above, BTC can be sent from any wallet to that address?  This is to fund the next year of development and the reward is 80% of the block reward distributed based on the amount of BTC sent to the address above?    How will you identify each BTC address to an address for the UNIQ after a week?

thnx!

Yes, you seem to already have grasped the idea. The coins on Bittrex will be available to you when the wallet goes live, not to worry.  When you buy Blockshares with BTC, what i do is convert your BTC address to it's UNIQ format, so when you import the private key, you will start receiving your shares.

Did you ever try the Bidding system in BCR ? You would bid in BTC and receive your BCR using the one key.

If you need a more in depth explanation, i can try to find time later today. My build machine went kaput a few minutes ago Sad

Please not that you can only bid from an address with a private key you control. You cannot bid from mining pool or exchange. I highly encourage users to bid using Multibit or Bitcoin core. Their keys are easier to import into the UNIQ wallet.

Perfect, thanks so much!

I have not tried the bidding in the past but I have been trying to follow this project.    Not enough time in the day.    I think I held Dash for 6 months before I had time to dedicate to setting up a masternode.

Will continue to follow,  bid in the auction, and try to learn a few things on the way!

I opened a ticket on Bittrex asking about the BCR swap...but the answer was:

"Hi,

At this time we are not aware of a swap that is happening on Bittrex. Please have the developer contact with us details.

Thank you,"

What means this?!?

Well, as you see , the wallet is already disabled on bittrex. Perhaps the person that answered you is unaware.

You was right...sorry!!! Grin Grin

"Hi,

Yes it seems that I was not kept in the loop on this. If all of your coins are on the exchange you should be fine.

Thank you,"
