The windows wallet is live: http://unobtanium.io

blazr is already* working on a newer version and the site should be out of beta by this weekend.

If you are interested in contributing time/services/etc join #unobtanium on freenode.

Recommended: Buy GH/s from everywhere and point to UNO to get block halving to happen faster before difficulty skyrockets.

Doges, the new site looks fantastic!! However, the decimal place is in the wrong position in the UNO/BTC price: 1 UNO = 0.1 BTC 1 UNO = 10.0 BTC (January 2015).

Hey guys,
With all the respect to Doges work and efforts to spread the word about Uno, I still think it is not the best time to introduce the coin to the public until we mine till the block 300.000 or so.
The great old one put many efforts into design of this coin, so it will be available for a minor number of enthusiasts at the beginning. The difficulty pattern of this coin designed perfectly, thou it may look weird at the first time.
It goes from 30k to 500k now, and there is a great reason why. When the difficulty is high (which is the case 90% of the time), sites like coinchoose or coinwarz shows bad profitability against bit coin, so no one pays attention, when difficulty goes down rapidly, it gives the miners a chance to mine many blocks within minutes, giving all of us good profits.
Other thing I want to stress out that mistake in a config file name was intentional, so many potential users will give up setting up a wallet. I actually had to spend some time investigating how to set the wallet up correctly.

In conclusion - it is golden time to mine and hold the coins for now as well as buy those at exchanges as the price is ridiculous right now. One way or another the coin will hit some major exchanges like btc-e and the price will go up.

A dumb question for a more financial minded than technical minded unObtanium fan. Is it ultimately safer for someone like me who is not a computer whiz to keep my UNO at cryptsy instead of my home PC wallet? I have been debating this but since I am no genius in regards to computer security I tend to think cryptsy is the safer bet.

You are definitely not safer keeping your coins anywhere you don't control.  Cryptsy could get hacked, or just fold up shop tomorrow and byebye coins.  If you want the most safety try a paper wallet.

Also, conduct regular backups on multiple sources of all of your wallets just in case your device crashes. That way your coins are recoverable.

Also I would love to be involved someone in this community, as far as spreading knowledge about this coin. This message board is pretty dead compared to other cryptos.

You can always join #unobtanium on irc.freenode.net if this thread is too slow for you Smiley

Hey Unobtanium crew. Wanted to drop a line and say that for one I love this coin, it is on my top 3 list and I am accumulating on dips like today. My Goal is to ultimately have 1% of UnObtanium's float, or 2500 coins roughly. I have a long way to go but I am slowly getting there.

I truly believe in the substance of this coin and the professionalism with which it was designed, no pre-mine, no BS, just a scarce, & awesome coin that will one day be looked back upon as the holy grail of cryptos.

Thoughts?

Also I would love to be involved someone in this community, as far as spreading knowledge about this coin. This message board is pretty dead compared to other cryptos.

Also my other 2 favorite crypto-currencies are QRK & EAC. Thoughts on those? I am just buying these 3 right now, and plan on making a nice stash with my weekly moneys from my real jobby job.

Unobtanium isn't for morons, it's for the elite pro.

We have a lot of talented people all coming together on this project. We are taking this open-source crypto to the next level. At the very least you guys will have some cutting edge services to abuse.

All of our services will be pure like rockchain.info no advertising on Unobtanium.

When you buy UNOs you know you are buying the best, and investing in killer new products with great design.

Yes, but if you want the price to rise, you need mass adoption ultimately.

Maybe an online game like Minecraft could have people looking for Unobtanium.  Wink

I am trying, we are doing giveaways. Blazr is even dedicating some extra time to work on the wallet, we are really working our butts off.

I would love to see mass adoption, but we need more help and grass-roots organization to push this even further. Right now it is just us tech guys trying to build some great services for a great alt crypto.

his addy is uVjbsx6tAhySeJpN7xLBieAzWcD7rEVmYp

he did it for the love of open source. We should all treasure this truly unique crypto, and look to blazr as a source of purity and inspiration.

Cheers to the Uno community, truly a wonderful group of intellectuals.
