I believe there was a pool that continued on mining anyway.

I have made the patch/fix yesterday and am working on coordinating it across the seed nodes.  I was planning to get this out last night, but I passed out - didn't sleep for a couple nights in a row.  So, I apologize for the delay.  But we will be back in action soon.

Everybody is going to have to update their wallets with the fix version to get onto the correct chain.

Good work, just keep us posted as to progress.

What is going on? Vote on cryptsy  etc. Polls are down for miners but you want to sell on all markets. This coin was mining for 12 days  (400.000 versions mined or 20% of all) and difficulty is so high like bitcoin who is mining for 5 years. This coin it seems to be fer for all miners.

What are you talking about? Coin has some problems with the chain which will be fixed soon. Just have some patience and wait, don't spread FUD!

We were just noticed by VERSION Dev team and asked to shut down deposit and withdraw due to forks. We will be noticed once it is fixed. Market is still opened for trading. Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked

They dumped because the situation we're currently under allowed a vast amount of coins to be created.
This is what the developer is trying to fix.
In my opinion, we should return back in time, exactly where the problem was spotted: on block 41385 (current).

Let's give some space to the developer to run his tests. It's not an easy task to try to predict what will happen an hour from now, with all that hashing power and all those algorithms running only on certain circumstances.

Actually, the "vast amount of coins" isn't that many.

In the first 10,000 blocks with 25 V reward, only 250,000 V were mined (10,000 * 25).
We are currently at block 60,000 so that's another 200,000 V (50,000 * 4).

That makes a total of only 450,000 V currently existing.

Only? On a block reward (after the reduction) og 4? Also, you are on 60000. Other forks are on 70, 75 or even 80.000!!!

If you get in a few hours what you should be getting in a week, then...

I hold ~ 2,100 V, let's see where it goes Smiley

When will pools starts? Is this coin only for solo mining?Only versioncoin have problem with pools other 256sha coins works well.
The pools are down because the blockchain forked.  They're working on it but for the time being don't bother mining this coin.

I had some V auto withdraw out of my pool to the exchange and they aren't showing up after a good 12 hours...  Am I safe to assume they are gone or should they pop up when things are fixed?

Assuming what others said above is true, and different pools were running on multiple different forks, then if your pool was on the wrong fork, they might be gone.

I hope your wrong but there was prob 1000 coins so if they're lost it's not the end of the world... just would suck.

I don't expect that they will be gone, but you may have to wait for your withdrawal transaction to expire and then try it again.

The root cause of our issue is a difficulty problem that was allowing the difficulty to reset to minimum periodically, which is why we were periodically seeing big expansions of the block height.

I have a fix from block 55000, I need to do some more testing and coordination and then we will send out an alert as everyone will need to update their clients if they don't want their blocks rejected.
