due to the amount of blocks being found its putting a bit of a strain on the DB but our cron jobs are set to run every 15 minutes.
Our Block Explorer Couldn't Even Keep Up! So many people were mining with GPUs when the difficulty was low!! How exciting

From the whitepaper: VEGI is generated by running the Veggie software. The software generates VEGI by automatically solving computationally challenging problems, in a system called “proof of work”. When a Veggie farmer’s computer solves one of these challenging problems, they are rewarded with VEGI. the idea seems to be really very good and noble, but why separate the charity of animals and people and stuff?
you can unite all - and call it easier to - blockchain in charity.

The coin isn't for a charity, it is to fund animal welfare initiatives, start ups and to donate to other charities. Veggie is for anyone who wants to help animals, and we think that a charity coin that was to help all initiatives may be too broad and a completely different concept
