I think it was a very bad launch. Few people got to mine couple of days by themselves when others couldn't because there was no working wallet.
Not a bad launch lol, just the first pool was bad.. So far I am getting the best results from the p2pool. Try that, and MineBig.com is making a stratum pool today http://VGC.MineBig.com but check out the official site http://VegasCoin.co for more info.

Very bad launch, guys.. I mined the coin with 2.7MH for like 2 hours, when the diff. was very low, but my balance is 1.3 coins. You should provide at least one working pool before launching the coin. I wish you best of luck, but I will move to other coins.
Ok I have got the wallet by myself working with source code myself. Of all things there is a typo in one of the forms.
In the source code ./src/qt/forms/overviewpage.ui

That has taken me a few hours to find this.
I am no developer by any means but this bug that prevents you from installing is quite poor. To me it just looks like whoever "developed" just copied the source code and not really thought about/or tested the source code compilation.

err not sure what is going on, I set myself up at pooled.cc but the block numbers look all messed up.
I see references to LTC and in my profile it appears to be set up for PCC, even though I told it to be VGC...

Thanks for the update. But would like an answer to why I get a compilation error in making source and it looks like I am not the only one...

The dev's pool does not work (wonder what it is mining...), no windows wallet, linux wallet doesn't compile so can't mine on p2pool.. who is mining this?

The pool was provided by http://WeMineCoin.com they helped rush the pool out, that may have been a bad choice but we had high demand for the coin release. Today we have 2 more companies that have existing pools like MineBig.com that plan to open up VGC pools sometime today. Instead we made a quick fix that reboots the stratum server every 5 minutes, this is our best temp fix we could come up with. The sever upgrade is being requested, but due to the holiday we had some delays. We hope to have the server fixed in 24 hours, thank you for understanding "

No. I wasted 1-2 hours on it....

Pool is only accept/reject shares. No founded blocks are reported, no new blocks are detected... I hope that I'm not wasting my time atm....
