There was a big boost in price. For those that do not follow this coin the developers do not really post here very often so do not think they are missing. It is something we investors have just learnt how to accept. They do have some big things in the works with businesses in Vegas. It will not be for gambling but for other services you find in Vegas. If you want these coins cheap you might want to buy soon. There are very few sell orders so this coin will most likely keep going up.

There was no boost, there's barely any volume atm. Just one guy buying up some coins, that's all VGC needs right now to "boost" the price. I think this will go on for some time... As long as there's no real news, there'll be no real trading.  Wink

I wish the dev would post here more and not cryptocoin talk. There is more exposure here.

It's quiet all around... Even on cctalk.
There's only two options imo:
Or they have their reasons to keep things quiet (as they have claimed several times) and have huge stuff in the works as a company while they/investors buy/mine a load of VGC.
Or they're keeping their heads high while still trying to get this coin of the ground.
My bet is on the first one. Cool

All this coin needs is a real spark that will light up it's true potential. So far nothing official had the ability to do that... Could be any day, could be next year. I'm as clueless as the rest of you.  Huh Grin

Yep. I have followed this coin since the beginning and mined for a long time. I am very mixed on what they are doing. Part believes they do have a deal and are just trying to get their coins so they can profit. But then another part thinks they are just hoping these things happen. I dont know any more.

My guess is they're aiming to get on a bigger exchange together with the release of planned updates/releases.

VGC is currently listed nr 7 on Cryptsy...  Smiley

I've also noticed the network hashrate exploded a few days ago, just because of some speculation... Back to 'normal' now, but imagine what real news would do.  Wink

For those wondering, I know they plan to release:
- Android wallet (will automatically lead to previously mentioned businesses accepting VGC)
- Direct buy option (no bitcoin or exchanges needed)
- Wallet client update (don't know any details about this)
- I've also read on fb about a new website with a completely new service in crypto (which will take "VGC under it's wing")
- ... Other than that they've been keeping it very 'hush hush'

I am surprised that no one is talking about the sudden jump in price. Maybe what the dev was telling us is true that the businesses will be buying some of the coin before it announces they accept them. Or maybe it is the developers buying them. Undecided

yep nothing new just talk "big news" "wait" e.t.c.

Yes, we "wait"... That's just it. Do something positive for a change.  Cheesy
What are you guys thinking? Hey, here's a good idea: I would like to see this coin grow to it's full potential and show others how much I believe these devs can actually make this happen. Let's complain about how slow it's going on every single thread... That'll probably help!  Undecided

At least the devs are actually DOING SOMETHING instead of just another quick pump and dump story with big speeches about all the technicalities nobody cares about. But hey, I get it. Compared to those dead end coins this IS a very slow growing one.

BTW: Missed the huge deal post? Here it is: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=741497372537650

Wow I have not paid attention to this coin when I was saying I am not pleased. I just looked and I am really not pleased now. This is just becoming another crap coin. No follow through all big talk.

You just wait Tongue

I really do not mean to be negative it just gets tough when you guys can only say "you just wait" because so many have said it and nothing comes from it. I have been a supporter since day 1 even through the high difficulty time before KGW was implemented. I will not dump because I think this coin has potential it is just hard to sit back when nothing new has happened for awhile.

Somebody was using a program to generate orders that were always one increment higher than the highest bid. Any new order were immediately leapfrogged so that all sales went to the buyer who wrote the auto bid script. What I did was leapfrog those orders one at a time until I found the limit where the program stopped trying to buy all the coins that were dumped onto the Bitcoins.

Then I noticed that the opposite was now happening. The autoscript was selling coins one increment lower than the lower ask. The script undersold any new leading orders that were placed.

So I placed my buy order at the tiniest increase above the highest ask. And one increment higher than that, I placed 10 shares for sale. Not only did the auto script dump all it's shares into my significantly lower bid and fill it, but I think this low priced sale triggered some stop orders to dump shares as well. The exchange immediately closed very quickly after I was getting all those cheap coins, so I suspect it was the trading exchange that is responsible for the activity I found.

I'm pretty sure VegaCoin is aware of what happened because they removed Bittrex from their page almost at the same time. There must have been a discussion.

yes i confirm that now, as on that day i was watching the order book at Bittrex and it was crazy! then i checked another exchanges, comkort the orderbook looked normal, Allcrypt got some crazy buy and sell from the same person.

Also, maybe Bittrex was testing the new "Order Type" thing.

No such thing, volume was just to low... They will put it back when/if VGC shows some growth.
It would be very stupid to put an autoscript on a coin with low volume. Not saying it's impossible however...
