Yeah Romano from twitter
A nice bug fix has been made last night for Viacoin 0.13.2 (somtimes there were problems with the node)

This was caused by bad version logic in the decision to serialize the auxpow block.
So we are a step closer to the release.

Also if there is a big Scrypt miner here (around 50GH/s, please contact me ! )

Encrypted Money, Baby!
Romano not manipulating this coin, he upgrade it, but not all ppl know it, they think it's old VIA, they suspect Romano is Drak, but the truth is this a new VIA called VIACOIN, and Romano is real person and not Drak

I assure you Romano is not that sweet-talking scammer and BTCcore groupie, Drak.  Grin
Care to elaborate?

I had a photo of Drak with Amir Taaki, it was deleted by mods here because he's close to them. Drak is English while Romano is Dutch. I also have a photo of Romano. Anyway, the two hang out in different online circles and each have different coding backgrounds.
Oh, thanks, I do know they're different persons, actually. I was more referring to the "scammer" thingy.

Progress for Viacoin Core code is now made on Gitlab not github. You are looking at the wrong place. I also left that comment in the README.md

thanks for clarification.

Is  there any way we can see coding progress? Github says the latest commit was on 11 Feb. That is 2 months  ago. Romano says he is coding all the time. Is there are different place to see progress?

Also tweet a week  ago from viacoin says: Repository will be available on github in a few hours.

Maybe I am looking in  the wrong places?

https://github.com/viacoin

edit: found https://github.com/vialectrum

maybe this is what he is currently working on so this one is more active?

https://github.com/romanornr

thank you! That is the one I was looking for.

Was planning to buy more at 8k, now I look and it's already back at 12k. Market already senses where this is headed.

I was waiting to buy under 10k too, but not sure when to expect it

However prohashing is pro Bitcoin Unlimited, won't signal Segwit and maybe never will because they don't know how to implement in on their pool.
An update on our rollout of scrypt segwit https://forums.prohashing.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&p=5214

May I kindly ask if the paper wallet on the Viacoin website needs to be downloaded completely and generated (keys) offline, similar to the BTC wallets? For some strange reason, tried the desktop wallet for Mac OS and it almost completely killed my computer (no joke). Had to restart several times and do safe startups just to get back control of the computer. It always froze the computer when it started (and i barely even started using it for the first time) when the hanging happened. Anyways, I'd rather do the paper wallet, but just need to know if I need to generate the keys offline as well. Thanks.

thanks romano.

registered at  ltc.suprnova.cc due to some people saying it is good and tried to download miners from their site:

Intel/ATI/AMD CGMiner (3.7.2) Windows: Download here
Intel/ATI/AMD CGMiner (3.7.2) Linux: Download Here

both of these links gave file does not exist.. heh, not exactly encouraging if they cant even have their links on.

so what would be the best pool and miners for windows then? I am very new to mining so I dont know that much. maybe ltc.suprnova.cc  as pool is still ok but I should download new miner from somewhere? What minders and pool do you people use?

For some weird reason I always thought viacoin is somehow connected to  litecoin... like a fork or  something.. is it? Or is it completely different? Maybe all those mentions on the site, like litepad, litebit, litecoinpool etc...

But if via is somehow related to litecoin then you think it can benefit a little from this recent litecoin surge and popularity?

Keep up the good work Romano and thank you Otoh for taking interest and help. Just bought some more via I am  supporting it this way.
It's not a fork from litecoin. Different. Wel... Litebit & Litepaid.com are 2 Dutch companies. They don't have anything to do with Litecoin. Why do they have Lite in their name? I don't know, I will ask them one day, I'm curious.

Viacoin auxpow merge mining with Litecoin is populair.
You can mine Viacoin & Litecoin at the same time. Like on F2pool.

That's it.
