According to coinmarketcap, the circulating supply is 22,786,036 coins. The opening post says that the total amount will be 23 million. So the maximum amount will be reached very soon. What are the plans after the limit was achieved? Will the coin be switched to PoS. Unfortunately I could not find any information.
Right now, I own some Viacoins and I consider to increase the amount but I would like to know what are the plans after max limit reach.

Not looking good for this coin at all. Price is continuing to fall and fall. Say what you want about its recent pump, but bottom line is that it couldn't even sustain it for more then one day, and it's fallen way beyond the point of where it was right before segwit was activated.
I think that's largely due to lack of awareness. If you look at the top performing coins atm most of them still have no product and many haven't even released any recent news. The approach for many seems to be to just buy whatever they see the most often regardless. As was suggested earlier, if people see Via more often they may start to notice it for the good buy that it is and with the market cap the size it is, gains could be realized very quickly and without large input.
Also I have a feeling that having a major update released during the bear period last month taught many newer Via holders to trade and not hold. Hardly anything could hold value in that time and if you had bought the coin anticipating that update only to see it lose that value soon after it was released you might be inspired to adjust your strategy. It's important to have traders of course as it provides liquidity, but you also need investors to maintain value.
Some observations. -I could be wrong of course, especially as I am fairly new to this.

I think a 10% drop after 500% rise is nothing to worry about.
where did you get these numbers from?
the last time viacoin did a 500% rise was over 2 months ago when the price went from 14k to 86k.
so a 10% drop after a 500% rise , the price would be 78k , umm no the price is 28k , thats almost a 70% drop after your 500% rise.
i don't know why you would be spouting these numbers unless you are a delusional bagholder (like myself
)I would say that the lowest value lately is around 18k, which is five times as much as the yearly start at 3k.
The rises to 80k just show the upward potential, but are not durable on the short run.
I still firmly believe in the 300k target.

In situations like this holding on to your coins is best, as the rises tend to be very rapidly and the availability of coins low. It is smart to buy some extra from dumpers though.

Yeah I noticed that too. Hopefully more whales can pump this coin back up soon. It's sucks seeing all these other altcoin pumping while via continued to fall.

Definitely the whales manipulating this coin. They've been holding it up with a 5btc sell order to get others to panic sell, and of course they're falling right into their trap.
