I think it works on latest version without the 1W prefix as this is case with bittrex wallet also but I dont use chrome myself so twiggysmile or mx can answer this better.

I think anyone having issue with older wallet version should import their seed into latest one.I had some issues earlier and this seems to have fixed the problem for now at least.

Im pretty sure the nodes are up and running. I sent 1.01 waves to bittrex earlier without any problems.
