If you put on your wallet password do that:
In your WhiteCoin wallet:
Help -> Debug window -> Console
Write: walletpassphrase "your password" 9999999999 true
If you haven't locked it, musn't do smth.

yeah maybe but at 2% 6m more per year right? that 274k number still seems a little bit high does it not?

They're mined by staking the coins in your wallet. You can read more about the concept here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proof-of-stake
