Hello everyone I just wanted to post a status update for the end of February.
Team RestructuringThe team restructuring is just about complete. The two Paris founders are still very much a part of this team, but they are taking steps back as flodesk has them busy right now. This was Guilhem's idea and everyone is on the same page here their are no internal fights or anything. We all have xcash best interest here. Guilhem is still the CEO but needs me to step up for a time and make decisions and take control of the coin. Paris is still paying for most of the activities. You will still see them when they can stop by, and they still have roles just not as many as before. I have added some people from the community as well to help xcash grow and plan to do more when the time is right. I also took the time this month to "re energized" the team. That will stay private as to what it all entailed, but the bulk of it was a 5page speech for them to read.
No one has left the team, Dennis did take some time off to fix a personal issue that he called me about, but no one has left. Me and Twinkie are very capable of running xbank or even adding feats while Dennis is off
I will write more in an article once we have the finished new xcash.foundation website
Current WorkThe team has been really busy this past month or two. One of the topics is the new xcash.foundation website. It will include new wording, to keep with trends in the markets, and will have the full contributors list on here with pictures or avatars, as well as many other adjustments.
We have also been busy on a lot of other things. We have been looking at new exchanges with @x-$1 and @CACO , and have been working on concrete simple and not expensive plans on marketing with @Zurg. These will be tried once we have the new website, as we have 2 that might work really well for a few hundred dollars and be really efficient is stepped up
As for me I have been busy with the test net and we just published an update to merge the test net to the master (v1.1.1). No new features for users but many for delegates and you can check out the full change log here.

If the team cant get it and I try more and cant get it, we might do a big RFC on this, so watch this for if your out their and want to make some xcash by helping us out.
@Lovro has been extremely busy with rewriting x payments to use slash commands, as this is a requirement starting April of 2022. He plans on working on DPOPS connectivity and many more things to come throughout this year. Look for his article on the x payment road map soon.
@Twinkie has been working on monitor/profiling systems for x bank and x payments, that will help us better understand what our programs are using resource wise and if we can increase efficiency
@franciscom has been working on many things as he has a good knowelage with technologies and can bounce around to where needed. His main area has been x bank testing and fixes, but the other areas we cant mention at this time.
As for the next protocol, the instant payments are close (as we saw the video last summer) but I still have not figured out how to make a decentralized signing process for releasing payments (well I did but their is an issue were just one delegate can freeze the wallet), and don't like the idea of just the seed nodes holding the wallet, as this will be the system for smart contract x cash as well so it needs to be done properly. I then have been working on the voting for a little now, but I know this is the least exciting protocol for normal users. I did have an idea last week though of a protocol that I never talked about before, that I will be doing research on as well.
Key features of this protocol would be:
- showcase the power of the dpops base system and the inheritance model
- high level, interactions between products, third party products and dpops base
- fun, exciting for users
- first protocol that will allow delegates to charge for this feature (so more revenue for you delegates!)
- other coins have it (we know its popular and I can see everyone here using it)
- other coins have it (we wont be first this time, but its a great way to show how dpops excels this vs other coins)
- first very small step towards the user based xcash digital ecosystem.
- useful not a novelty like voting might turn out to be.
This might actually end up hybrid two forms of protocols and really get interesting
testnet users will be the first to try whatever protocol ends up getting built first though!
The team is working hard so expect a lot of good stuff.
Once again I want to thank everyone who is still supporting this, and for the test net delegates that are running nodes and not getting any payment (beside the contest every month)
We could not have done DPOPS without you and are very thankful you are here for a test net for this next protocol.Announcement by Zach,
