Would i be able to buy CHI with HUC?

When the ICO launches, HUC holders will be able to burn HUC in exchange for Chimera. They are doing this so that HUC holders who have stuck around will be rewarded by A: being able to transfer HUC to Chimera and B: reaping the benefits of a reduced supply due to the burning should they choose not to burn their coins.

I think that this will seriously affect Huntercoin price, especially when ICO details will be published.

How will this affect HUC price

Do you think it will break 5000 or 10000 sats like Nexium?

Good shit. Real world economies are huge, even though, in most cases, they operate illegally and in conflict with the administration of the games pertinent to them. Creating an environment that promotes such an economy could have a massive impact on the influence of real world economies on video gaming as a whole.

Yes, game developers like Blizzard want to maintain that their virtual currency has no value, or else the tax man will try to take a cut. This requires them to prohibit trading and force the economy underground, lest they get in trouble.

Games on Chimera, however, can be completely decentralized and autonomous. There's no office the tax man can go to, or a central server to unplug, or necessarily even any humans to get in legal trouble. The game world can run on its own.

That makes sense...

In the event that some game on Chimera gets huge to the point where the tax man wants his fair share, what would be the outcome? Would you and snailbrain and whoever else created the platform be held responsible? Would the game dev be linked to the game? I know this is way down the road lol just curious.

SnailBrain is not responsible for how you choose to use Chimera. Grin Please follow all relevant laws in your jurisdiction.

I'm automatically in... you have my support and I will be awaiting the crowd sale.

I think having a sig bounty for this one will help bring in more funds. Some coins it doesn't help, but I could see a large following since your the devs of Huc, but you will need some marketing.

Blogger bounties would also be a good idea imo...

And what will be with the exchanges? I don't think that the new coin will manage to receive listing on poloniex?

Whether truly I speak? Or you already have arrangements?

Trust me, it'll be fine.

from what i understood there is no way for us to earn chimera directly, without buying something else right? i'm disappointed in this, i would expect a huntercoin 2.0, a coin that you can earn with gaming, it's more fun for me than buying and dumping which feel like trading

I kind of agree, but at least for the time being you can play HUC to earn HUC to burn for the ICO thing.

"Trustless Exchanges -  trade game currencies and assets (items, cards, armour, characters etc) for "Chimera coins" (CHI) and other game coins built on Chimera."

You can earn from gaming. The games running on the Chimera network will implement Chimera coins in some way. You'll either be using them directly on games or trading in game assets for Chimera coins, which will act as a universal asset/currency that transcends throughout all the games on the network.

That's correct. The informal economy for games like WoW and EVE Online is huge... you can always play to earn items and sell them for CHI, which you will be able to exchange for BTC.

But also, there's nothing preventing someone from porting Huntercoin to CHI or creating a similar game on top of it. That's not our immediate priority, but it's still an option which we've discussed in the Huntercoin thread: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.17911081

How will burning HUC be weighted against BTC purchases? Will Huntercoin burned be worth the same as spending the same value in BTC? Or will HUC have a heavier or lighter weight vs. BTC purchases?

There are actually other more elegant ways of ensuring that HUC burners get a better deal without forcibly pegging the rate lower. For example, suppose HUC burning and purchasing with BTC didn't start at the same time. We're still fine-tuning the plan.

And sounds good about HUC. Going to throw down some BTC for some HUC right now  Wink
