how much coins do i need for a masternode
As the project here goes, golem and sonm seem to be stagnant without getting anywhere, I wondered how this elastic I am thinking of investing here also in the long term but if the project is still alive 
it is alive. just needs time.
There are frequent updates to the 2 main githubs for the the project:

Unlike the other projects, we are aiming to be fully decentralized. Steady progress is being made, but things are much more complicated when you keep everything completely decentralized like Elastic (unlike the 2 projects you mentioned).
The Vision behind this project is great. Everybody is doing their best. Didn't dissapoint me once
It might sound strange but I cannot find where the command is to start forging
Once your deposit has 750 confirmations it should begin forging automatically.
I'm still pretty new to this coin, how does the forging work exactly, is it like Proof-of-Stake? How long is the staking period?

This are old news... The FUD affected people because of the price and we still who the devs are... It would help... Also some update on full version would be appreciated. I hope that some great news comes till end of September...

I think this project does not deserve you to talk badly about it. Just because you want to buy cheap coins.
The price of the currency is indifferent to me ... you can lower its value to zero if you consider it ... but do not tell more lies ...
