They presented it as the "new beginning." You're delusional, I'm sorry to say it. They also explicitly stated that there was no premine, yet the early blocks clearly and verifiably prove that a premine did take place. Also, this isn't a collage of different technologies elegantly unified, it's literally Crave, which was literally DarkCoin, which has been cloned left and right by anonymous "developers" that dumped and disappeared. Why do you choose to keep repeating this? Why do you reward lazy and deceitful copypasta that brings absolutely nothing new to the table?

Hey, let's just make 20 of 'em with different names and logos, maybe tweak the parameters a little, and tell everyone they should invest in the new era of blockchain? Crypto is getting pretty scammy. And it's our own fault for not doing our due diligence.

By the way, Dash is already the winner.

What a load of old bollocks.

That's exactly the type of comment I'm talking about, it's like being in the Kevin Spacey fan club and denying there's a problem.

Copy/paste is a problem because it wasn't disclosed which is bad and also because when you invest in any project you are investing in the competency of the developer.

It doesn't mean Xios cannot continue, but please be realistic and honest, my tolerance for bullshit on Bitcointalk is diminishing by the hour.

And that "maybe investing isn't for you" passive agressive gaslighting crap rustles my jimmies, knock it off.

Its Entreprenuership. You bring the best of different coins and you make it a successful token.

Many successful people take pick up a idea or clone from trash and turn it into a winner.

You can also say Bitcoin Cash is a copy of Bitcoin Core.

You are in the wrong business if you are looking at these things.

Something original built from scratch can totally suck.

This is cryptoworld. You getting cheap masternodes, fast wallets , fast transactions.

Copying is acceptable in Cryptoworld. Its only matters If the End product is good.

You can merge different aspects of different products and make a final product as long as it provides the users with what they are looking for.

Also Look at Dash

I think it's clear by now that some very shady shit has gone on with Xios, things that we looked the other way on. It doesn't mean Xios is now worthless, it doesn't mean that it can't get back to $2-3 a coin, because it's a coin that works well and it's a cheap masternode, regardless of it's history, but I don't think it will ever reach the potential it had.

One more thing...

...I'm getting pretty sick of this scammy behaviour in cryptoland, but what's worse is the "you're just fudding" denial when it comes to light, I appreciate that some of you are holding big bags but being rude and denying reality is not how to get Xios back on track.

I saw the same thing with eBTC when it became absolutely clear it was a scam. Let's be honest before history is rewritten, most of us had no idea Xios was a copy/paste of another coin and I for one can tell you I'd never have invested or promoted this if I'd known, so yes, at least on that one point alone, clear deception was involved.

Meh I dunno man.
I might go checkout discord, or wait for all the weaker hands to fallout.
Can't decide yet. Either way Im a fan of this coin, especially as its fast as a mofo.
Is it a crave clone?
Why not?
Devs are people too. just sayin' maybe ol'boy wanted to take a break. I dunno
Do I believe in Xios still? Meh, if this is all it takes for a whole community to bail on it maybe it wasn't such an awesome community in the first place. Just throwin that out there...

Really. That's your standard? You're going to buy another premined DarkCoin clone by an anonymous "developer" that has been absent for this long and didn't even bother changing the wallet UI, because it's fast? It's not fast because it's Xios, it's fast because it's a clone of a fast coin. Premined, instamined, shilled and dumped hard. Where are the standards? Invest in technology, not name changes. Jesus.

You're god damn right, "meh." The Discord channel had like 10-30 comments a day until today, lol.

Hilarious shit in the Discord channel, by the way. Mastertrader truly embarrassed himself. I couldn't believe it, really, how bad he made himself look. High cringe factor, be advised. Took screenshots for my own enjoyment. Will probably post it whenever he tries to promote one of his scams. His rabid rage is definitely better entertainment than TV. I believe he actually tried to pass "cum on my dick" off as an epic insult. It was fascinating. I'll probably cost you quite a bit of money, 777.

LMAO you trolls need help.

www.instagram.com/mastertrader_777/

I get money and help others for FREE.

I've been in this space since Bitcoin was $5 USD.

Have a worked with other teams and projects??

FUCK YES, and I take pride in that.

Just recently I joined the Substratum Crew as an advisor, and helped them raise $14m.

I launched my own coin many years back, had a 90% premine - tested the waters, and was able to run a 90% premine with MTR paired with ToshiDesk.

Have I ever "scammed" anyone...Never.

Has (1) Person out of 500 + Students I've had in my day, got pissed because he went against my calls on purpose with another pump group to play games? Yes, did he get a reimbursement for "trying" to screw around? Nope. Did he and all his pump buddies leave me negative feedback? Sure did...do I care, not really =P

Do I care about you wannabe trolls?

Not a chance...but if you wanna troll we can troll it up whenever Wink

Until next time....

=)

Cheers,

https://github.com/ButterRose/Xios/blob/master/CHANGELOG
https://github.com/CooleRRSA/crave/blob/master/CHANGELOG

Looks like Xios is directly derived from the latest version of the Crave project revived and maintained by https://github.com/CooleRRSA, with some minor changes, mainly in the parameters.
Am I really the first person to actually look at the GitHub repo?

By the way, Crave was the same sort of crap. Anonymous dev, claimed no premine. Dumped, disappeared. Probably the same guy.

As the people at Discord know, if they were there, I naively proclaimed that "there is no original code in Xios except the wallet UI." I was almost right...
I INVITE ALL THE ANGRY FUD-PROCLAIMERS TO COMPARE:

http://nodeshare.in/static/coins/images/guides/crv/step7.gif

I would advise against buying into blockchain projects by anonymous "developers" unless substantial due diligence has been done by trusted third parties. No matter how mindblowingly fast it is (that's just what DarkCoin/Dash/Crave/etc/etc does).

If you're still a believer, here's dessert:

Another example: 8bit
https://github.com/8bit-dev/8bit/blob/master/8bit.pro
Do a search for "8bit mastertrader777" - that trusty old friend of yours that has such a good reputation, as you put it:

Seems pretty clear to me that MasterTrader777 is not a master trader at all, just a very slimy scam artist. Whether he's behind it or is just in cahoots with whomever it is, I don't know. But we know he was familiar with 8bit's wallet, and we know he's familiar with the Xios wallet, which are the same ugly piece of DarkShit. You were right, jbuzzz!

Who’s running the Twitter Account? Is there a dedicated social media manager? No posts in 5 days. It should be engaging at the very least with the $XIOS/#XIOS tags, if not more.

Optimally, with all the hype around BCH / BTG, this isn’t the time yet for major news or roadmap announcements. Major updates can wait until #altsareback. But we do need some exposure.

I also would like to see some more tweets regularly as in recent times there hasn't been much activity from the XIOS Twitter handle. I've been tweeting often about this coin and getting a good response from people but it would be good to see the XIOS Twitter handle tweet some more.

Isnt the block size bigger than in Dash?
That's just a matter of altering the default max block size constant.

Also worth mentioning that there is no original code in Xios. It's basically DarkCoin/Dash.

XIOS is definitely questionable - check the screenshots out below...coupled with the fact the 'devs' insistence on remaining anonymous.

I have a RPi3 wallet for Raspbian:
https://drive.google.com/open?id=1QIIBV3eY1x2JUOGYLselDUtxQVN04XaL

Seems to work fine on my RPI3 - it actually staked this week.

Hm that appears to be the daemon if I'm not mistaken.  Can you upload the qt wallet?  I just tried building my own and of course failed.  I have the Mac one running perfectly but I'd like to run it 24/7 and eventually control a masternode through my Pi.  Thanks so much.

Smell the glove.
Has anyone successfully compiled a wallet on a Raspberry Pi?  Sometimes when I compile wallets from github it works, sometimes not so much.

There needs to be more activity for sure. Sunday's wallet launch was missed, okay, but why, what's going on now?

Price has dropped back below 9k sats and I can't decide whether it's a great time to buy, or an extremely bad time to buy because of very low activity. I won't risk it.
