Mining Co-operative
Your AVX2 miner: 28.75kh/s
My AVX2 miner: 51.50kh/s

Difference: ~79.13%  Wink

On Linux, it can reach just under 60kh/s, but I don't think that's a fair comparison.

Absolutely bloody incredible mate. I will bet you 100 XMG that my compiler will get your version running faster Wink

Will you be making your modified code available to the community?

Hey, Spexx - I saw your challenge posted, but didn't really like it because you stated that modifying the miner code itself is disallowed. So, just for fun, I worked on my own, cross compiled it from Linux, and then ran it on my laptop, which dual boots Windows and Linux. (I figured I should benchmark both miners on Windows to be fair.)

The laptop has an i7-4700HQ CPU, clocked at 2.40Ghz. I took the hashrate of each miner and rounded to the nearest quarter kilohash.

Your AVX2 miner: 28.75kh/s
My AVX2 miner: 51.50kh/s

Give it to us now  Grin

Coin of the Magi!
Nice

I hope people are not just happy with the earnings (actually guess complaints coming too), and also that's not a good sign too. It's like one mines coins easily, is that good? very much depends. Anyway, PoS-II is on the right way, we'll see how it's doing.

I think it's worth a mention here:

People mining XMG should take a look at it's block reward design. Don't mine too hard, or PoW blocks will stop yielding coins (block chain still going). Different people have different understanding though, check out the paper (need update upon the coming hardfork, but the same concept applies).

http://arxiv.org/abs/1409.7948

The reward is designed best at the CPU mining level. Anyone fire up CPU farm or GPU may push reward towards a trivial level. The coming hard fork will tailor the reward at a much accurate level.

Remember, the more CPU miners (not too high hashrate though), the more secure of the reward. The more GPU miners (let's say in the future and assuming they have significantly high hashrate), no actual rewards will be yielded.

can anyone tell me how to merge all of my xmg to main address? I'll split it to each wallet for staking

AFAIK you just send your xmg to one wallet address. Presto.
thanks Cheesy

For anyone who had problems updating this on a linux server, like me, just delete everything in /.magi/ except the wallet.dat.   Cheesy

No it isn't a faster miner. It's a miner speed controller. It controls the speed of your XMG miner. The speed of your XMG miner can be controlled ... in real time ... well almost. You can make your XMG miner run faster or slower. It does exactly what it says on the tin. It's a miner speed controller. It controls the speed of your XMG miner. Any questions? Cheesy

Download the XMG Miner Speed Controller utility from here:-

This is a self-extracting ZIP file.
Run the XMGMinerSpeed.exe and it will open a dialog box.
Click "Unzip" to extract the files to the required folder (this is C:\XMGminer\MinerSpeed by default).
Run the Setup.bat file in the folder you just extracted the files to.
Choose "Proceed with setup" when prompted and it will create a startup file and a Desktop icon.
Double-click the Desktop icon to use the XMG Miner Speed Controller.
Enjoy Smiley

I wrote the bare-bones of this software some time ago, the original reason for it being to prevent the miner overheating my son's laptop when running at full speed. I have given the bare-bones a good meal, a bath, a new set of clothes, a proper shave and a haircut to make it presentable. Any problems with it then please report here - thanks.

Great job, Spexx, will try it out Smiley
