split ur coins in transaction of size 15000 or lower
and then keep the wallet run 24/7
the above conf will make sure that a big stakeholder stake his coins asap

people who hold less coins can leave split/combine at the default setting

the way XMG work if u have to big coin pile or wallet o long offline (a few days is already to long)
i have to repeat the proccess or u wont be able to stake

the trick XMG use is easy with to much coin age or coinweight the chance to stake and the rewards reduce back to impossible to stake without move coins by urself

it rewards 24/7 wallets
it helps in many POS security flaws around many very old coin piles
all that possible attacks cant be made against XMG

BTW, Should I split a pile of coins into 15000 or lower size?
one is 30K-3900 confirmed, the other is 32K-2900 confirmed.

I still get a message "Not staking because .. ' now.

I can wait until the staking begin, if there isn't wrong with my wallet condition. Smiley

Did you unluck the wallet? Wallet will give you the option: unlock for staking only

www.Crypto.Games: Multiple coins, multiple games

Yes, I've been on the exchanges this morning - its been quite a busy one, market cap and price are rising very nicely - the market cap has hit $200k again (for only the 3rd time) today

Yeah. Coin Magi's price is having a nice movement in price these days, which it may be a sign that it is getting even more attention than ever. Now it is around the $0.03 USD mark and it may continue to rise if more people join in this exciting cryptocurrency project.

I was going to buy a few Magi myself when they were worth $0.02, but I guess that I'm too late to get them at said prices. Even at today's prices, I consider Magi being cheap, as the development and community it has, as well as having a unique mining algorithm, would've made the coin much more valuable right now.

One of the things, that I admire about Magi is that it promotes low energy consumption in its mining process, as the lower the network hashrate, the bigger the reward which makes it one of the eco-friendliest PoW coins out there.

Nevertheless, I hope that this year would bring many surprises for Magi, making it a cryptocurrency to be held onto for the long term.  Smiley

@th3.r00t, @cryptonit

Thanks for support. I will open wallet 24/7 as I've done for other PoS coins like SLR, IOC.. etc.

I'm very happy to be a member of Magi community.

 Cheesy

It's great to have more people involved - there has been quite a nice influx of new people on here in 2017 - I'm feeling very optimistic for Magi this year =)
Noticed lots of activity here! Very nice. Welcome in the Magi community sylph93

I have been finishing up all of the stuffs, and settled down Qt and daemon compiling across a couple of OSs. I should be able to get them out by tomorrow. I'm quite satisfied with how the Qt looks like and behaves in general at this moment, though this won't be the most important feature we might talk about. The v1.3.1 would run quite smoothly compared to any prior versions; I've let it staying on my Mac all day long. On top of this release, we'll get back to the to-do-list. That was talked long time ago if one can recall, but definitely a solid plan we'll proceed with. This coming release is just a part of the list...
thanks for the update Joe, everything sounds great - I think these things will really increase the value and long term outlook of the coin =)
and if there is any way to spread the workload - i'm sure there will be lots of people willing to contribute (me included)

I always try to keep a wallet running 24/7. As you say - it really increases the security of the coin - the more online wallets the better =)

Hi, I bought 62K XMG yesterday.

I compile wallet from github source by myself for my Ubuntu staking machine. I ran it for Solarcoin, IOcoin for 2 years.

When I first open wallet for staking, my weight was 20 and wallet said that it will take 20 days for staking.

Today, I found that staking was off due to lack of my weight.

"Not staking because you don't have enough weight" - message.

If anyone have working magi.conf for smooth staking, plz up. Smiley

Code:
server=1
daemon=1
listen=1
rpcuser=longrpcsolousername
rpcpassword=longrpcsolopassword
rpcport=8232
port=8233
posii=1
stakesplitthreshold=80
stakecombinethreshold=100
addnode=104.128.225.215
addnode=104.131.42.100

That's my magi.conf.
You should wait a bit with opened and unlocked wallet in order to gain staking weight.

Sounds very good. Think we must go for it!
Btw i could use some help with keeping the Magi thread little up to date on Bitcoingarden.

My work buried me a bit today, running out of time though I still keep my eye on the screen. I'll get what's ready ASAP.

Coin of the Magi!
The info mentioned by starmman and 111magic is about the concept of the coin. mPoS is not so organized at this time, will get hands on that.

[MagiTor ..]

1. MagiTor
MagiTor has been overdue; however, the Tor wallet is here now. Please make sure you have made a backup of your wallet (wallet.dat) before using ANY new wallets.

Downloads: http://cryptomagic.com/files/magi-release/magitor
(let me know if you need wallets for your OS)

Nodes in case you can't sync:
Code:
connect=nb57fbprx2pstey5.onion
connect=efgnprvedrxxot7l.onion
connect=mwjrcnqk6oj4s3qn.onion
connect=w7z5pnnpa377fovn.onion
connect=qpv345rnosrrfjwc.onion

The Tor net seems not as smooth as the regular network. I've been seeing network sync stuck at some block; try closing and relaunching the wallet; also play around above nodes. Please don't stake coins using Tor wallet for now. If any of you think better to use testnet for staking experiment, let me know.

Are we the first hybrid PoW/PoS Tor coin? Never mind, that means nothing basically. Cheesy

2. The "Next"
This is the thing people including me would ask. CPU mining & PoS are the features XMG can make use of to advertise, but simply that's not the sole we may rely on. My real interest will be payment plugin and get XMG being used in a variety of places. But that would be a long way to go: big exchange, constant development to stabilize XMG fundamental tech as well as the market cap, and so on. We make sure we're working on the things. For now will be the proper time to think about a road map as to the "Next".

Magi had a great lunch, I will call it fair. I know some of you won't agree. Simply look over other coins around, which coin came with "fairness"? I realized the bitcoin nearly at the time when mining is so hard; PC not working at all; even can't afford time to wait for miner (even I did, simply changed my mind afterwards; KNC refunds have been stuck for months, too sad). I guess most of others had similar experience. Though XMG is never perfect, but its fairness, and 100% minable with CPU. With "Next", XMG will be likely to be huge, but I don't think I can make it alone or efficiently as far as the development is concerned; welcome any of you to co-dev XMG, simply let me know.

3. Bounties
We need many stuffs to be done, for those we make bounties so that they can be done way efficiently. Something came to my mind immediately:

1) We need more pools running, particularly P2pool, and other miners like yam. If you can work on one of these, please help us.
2) Faucet, news, articles, and aslo a nice infographic design; again contact me if you can do these.
3) As a part of marketing approaches, we can advertise the CPU mining as much as possible; websites with mining guide will be a good start.
4) Please suggest me what needed to be done for marketing and for development too.

Thanks for supporting XMG up to here; let's keep going, working together, and making it even better!

Luckily I have bought some cheap Magi coins as I see a lot of room for future growth. The market cap of Magi is rising steady, so we can expect this tendency to continue this year. I also see that Magi has strong community to support the project. It is very important an I like it.
