NOW 200MH!!!!!

I got a feeling the number is wrong, my wallet is showing 217MH total. Still, it seems more like someone trying to make a point than an actual miner. Or maybe seeing if the hack will still work?

just dropped down to 21MH

Being its in short spurts, I would bet they are buying hashing power (ie Nicehash type thing), Huge hashes but short lived.

Ive seen spikes of 100MH and someone bragging on here about using a botnet, but its legal.  Lmao.  Pretty sure that was a few months ago.

There are two urgent things that I have in mind all along and been talked so many times; unfortunately fully occupied by a daily job, though I am completely aware of the overdue roadmap: 1) switch to latest bitcoin basis (I already started a while ago, and really should commit to a deadline to accomplish it since this is a such importance); 2) deal with the mining situation (also been talked many times), there are couple of ideas I had other than the algo itself, including approach incentive to PoS staking. We'll talk when they are confirmed to be in implementation.

     Hot dog it works!  Wink Ok everyone here is what I did it might not be by the book but.... I did upgrade to 1.4.6.2 then download new block chain synced my first wallet useing .215 ip then copied my Blocks and database files. then removed .215 ip  and listen=0 deleted peers file. then reopened first wallet. Then on other wallets just updated to 1.4.6.2 and used Blocks and database files from first wallet and deleted peers file. opened and now have all 4 of my wallets synced and sharing the load. enjoy! Don't forget to backup! Grin

     Question? In theory if we downloaded 1.4.6.2 got it synced up to .215 ip shut the wallet removed .215 ip and reopened it would it not become a valid node past the fork? Wouldn't that help jump start the network back if a bunch of us did that? or is that lack of knowledge crazy talk?

Not having .215 will still work.

Joe wouldn't that help take the stress off your node? My understanding is our wallets if we leave them open 24/7 will work as a note? is this true?

Yes, this is true.

=============
Changelog:

- Future drift time for blocks <= 30s;
- Future coinbase timestamp <= 30min;
- Exclude future blocks from being used in difficulty adjustment;
- Reduce granularity of timestamp for PoS;
- Update block version to 6 and protocol version to 71065.

The current situation was in part about time-drift attack. PoS design allows time-drifted blocks so that nodes out of time sync can still submit PoS stakes. This thus allows mining blocks ahead of time. Future blocks being accepted leads to the fact of larger block spacing, and forces the network believe there experiences hard time of staking, and then difficulty starts to drop; the consequence is making such "attack" even easier. There are a few points being included in the current release in order to address the issue: 1) reducing time drift, 2) prior block must have an earlier timestamp, 3) difficulty adjustment less sensitive to the future mining, 4) reduce timestamp granularity and hence timewarp attacks.

Let me know anything else one would like to know about further.

Hi Guys,
I was hoping you guys could help.  Forgive me if this is a known problem.  I had read the wallet at Bittrex was up. A few days ago I sent some of my Magi's to Bittrex.
But I didn't receive the transaction.

devs suspended it a due to issues. not eta when back on.

We'll contact them once we're certain everything is good. Coins will show up when they resume wallet functioning.

Hashrates !

So much for enforcing limits  no wonder this coin ends up forking everywhere

https://ibb.co/hgyWbJ

minerclaim.net, right now.....

Top 15, lowest one is at 500kH/s, top one nearly 15MH !!!

Can minerclaim be regulated any way or have its right to pooling revoked?

Sure, we'll fine them $5000/day until the problem is solved? Maybe throw the owner in jail for 6 months? Would this fill your need for justice?  Roll Eyes

Or, you could just choose not to mine there if you don't like how they run things. Seriously, will you fucking crybabies ever stop? You want rules, crypto is probably not for you.

No rules? So if your account gets hacked...hey...no rules, right? No problem?

Well, it's up to me to secure my wallet. If I run a malware infected computer and use some cute girls name for a wallet "password", it's on me.

As for what people are running to get those big hash numbers? Nothing special. Just regular desktop or server type computers, but a whole bunch of them. Thing someone working at a hosting company or large school/university. They don't buy the machines or pay the electric bills, so it's all good. Maybe someone with access to a supercomputer, but that's a big risk of getting caught.
