Is there any news about listing MoneroV on HitBTC? It passed a lot of time, no listing yet? HitBTC exchange was listed on official MoneroV site, but no coins yet... Undecided

I already asked this question some time before, someone replied to me that HitBtc need more time...

The problem is, I actually read the open source licenses.  Something about distribution of this code without modifications and not responsible or liable for absolutely any damage this code can cause.

How many open source licenses have you actually read? Monero was released under the terms of the 3-Clause BSD license which is common, but the clause about being liable for damage is in virtually every OSS license.

Linux user since 1995.  Slackware on a 486.

Many.

Every commercial 'product' uses OSS.  It's nothing new.

PhoneOS/iOS/OS X/macOS... They keep changing the name.

It's all *nix/BSD.  FreeBSD.  Messed up so badly that it's unusable.

A MacBook (Pro)/Mac is a PC.  But I don't have a choice of using it as a general purpose computer.  I don't have a choice of an OS/software/my way of doing things.

Now I'm getting into hardware terms and conditions.

Middle finger to them.

-snip-

They just declared that 2012 Pro retina as 'vintage'.  No longer supported.  Why..  Works like new after spending hundreds of hours to keep it alive.

That's totally irrelevant to what we were talking about though. Can you share an OSS license that allows users to hold the developers liable for damages?

I had to fix this 2012 genuine product at my own cost.  Everything was replaced.  The battery was fun to unglue.

Failed screen/logic board in just over a year.  Failed battery to the point of being dangerous.  SSD replaced with a 960TB one.

GPU/CPU was running at 100 degrees non-stop when idling.  Now it doesn't.  I installed an OS that doesn't kill a computer.

I maxed out the CPU (4 instances of yes), the GPU with a OpenGL benchmark and I was still able to watch youtube in HD.

Temps didn't go over 80 degrees, it was still usable while doing all that.  Left it running for more than a day.

This project has for sure my interest. Counting every day to start. It will be big.

Cool

MoneroV team is doing good, but we need more big exchanges like Bittrex, Bithumb, Mercatox, Bitbns, etc. Can anybody provide update on any of these exchanges?

Interesting

I fully agree.  I checked out the members of the team and they have solid background in coding and cryptography.

With links to their github accounts.  All original code written from scratch.

I can just fork it from 100s of other repos and call it TomEro.

The problem is, I actually read the open source licenses.  Something about distribution of this code without modifications and not responsible or liable for absolutely any damage this code can cause.

Accidents happen, you know.  Sometimes I feel like digital can be hacked.

Google virtualization.  Causing chaos since forever.

Wondering what happened to this fork ?...No updates, nothing happening on social media...
Seems like there is nothing going on, and this was all a big move by some "Bitmain" affiliates to keep selling their miners...

Anyone can enlighten me here ?
Is there a remote node available ?

MoneroV is the first and only cryptonight fork with two-way replay protection, as well as a maintained blockchain and network with a vibrant community. As per MoneroV, regarding the exchanges and 3rd-parties support including HitBTC, ShapeShift, MinerGate and others – It is 100% on their teams to credit or list XMV. The blockchain is fully operational and has been easily integrated into many services.

Does XMV plan on patching the double counting bug?

It’s been 3 days now and every other non scam cn coin has either patched or proven they aren’t affected.

Do the XMV devs care?

Can you tell us which cn coins you're mentioning? I'd like to know. If you don't want to post here in XMV topic, send me PM.

Thanks

I think that any coin that forked from Monero v0.12.0.0 (or later) is affected.

You mean when the block time is changed but the reward is not? Many scammers that don't have a clue do this. It's not a bug its called math.

Nice try.

First sign of a not coin.

Wallets available for every OS on launch (open source recompile).

The pool is open source cryptonote pool.  I have compiled and set it up before for another 'coin'.  Sikka.  What happened?

ETN was another fun one.  Mined it for a month when it was 20 cents, it's now 1 cent.

These are ASIC not resistant, copy and paste of open source CODE and a *new* coin has a very low supply.  Not millions of coins.

Few more.  SIGT v1, 2, 3.

100s of copy paste coins and the best ones are masternodes...

So I was just wondering how this shitcoin turned out and went to the site and it will not load without javascript enabled. So I goto the only exchange that trades this shit and it requires JS to even load the page!

Holy shit a closed source wallet and JS required website/shit exchange with anon devs,

lol this shit is priceless.
