Tail emission is an emission after main supply has been mined. To ensure that blocks are being produced and transaction processed we've added perpetual emission of 2 XRE \ Block. We believe this solution is better than POS because everyone has access to mining, while POS assumes you have to buy coins from somebody. And that somebody must be willing to sell you some which is not a free market environment. In the long run this also helps to replenish lost coins and gives new users incentive to jump onboard.
