Zap is the marketplace where you can use oracles to empower smart contracts and modify it from the real world events.
On the Zap platform, you can purchase oracles that suit your smart contract needs. This payment is done through Zap token. Only oracles can be purchased/sold on the marketplace.

ZAP bonding occurs via the oracle smart contract. Prior to bonding their ZAP tokens to an oracle, users will be able to see exactly how many dots they will receive as a result. Users can choose to produce as many dots as they are able to afford based on the predetermined price curve. There is no limit for how
many times ZAP may be bonded to produce dots.

Oracles are the delivery mechanism that allows external data to be entered into deterministic smart contracts. Without oracles, smart contracts are only able to use information that is stored directly on the blockchain.
