Hello,

This may be a noob question but could someone please tell me why i get this booooo sometimes while mining,  and also the stratum difficulty is changing pretty often. Why is this happening?
Should i mine on the lower diff port on the pool?

I am using the latest ccminer_cuda 9 from by djm34, mining on suprnova with 20 intensity on the high diff port.

Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

I can't take it anymore. I might have to buy my 1000 coins to become a masternode. Hopefully Bitcoin will skyrocket soon to lower XZC's price against BTC. Hoping for an entry below 0.002.

Team Zcoin announced the transition to Merkle Tree Proof (MTP) - a new, based on the principle of proof-of-work, the algorithm. Using MTP will increase the security and performance of the system: the miners will be able to quickly find new blocks.
More information: https://hashtelegraph.com/2017/07/11/platforma-zcoin-poluchila-novyj-algoritm/ Wink

That already implemented I believe(since MTP was the first step of roadmap for 2017). Correct me if I'm wrong tho.

You're right, it's already been implemented a while back and it was supposed to weed out a lot of bots because of the high memory requirements.

The Standard Protocol - Solving Inflation
I know Poramin is aiming for a billion dollars and I think he can make it happen!

absolutely , He will . I can guess this fact happening next year. Zcoin must be at 50$ in this year before it can hit 100$ or more next year .
That's a first step in the way of attracting many big investors to join in . How much money if you can hold 1000 zcoins for one masternode?
thinking about it as like as dash masternode but with real privacy and it will be better than dash masternode in the future.

I don't think it matters how the coin's price will be by the end of this year. Any increase is possible as we have seen with so many other cryptocurrencies. Could go to a billion faster than we can imagine.

Maybe stupid question, but why mining earnings come 30% down even with lower difficulty drop from 17 to 16k ?.

It shouldn't. It may have something to do with the pool you're using, but if your hashrate remains the same and difficulty goes down then you should obviously be receiving more, not less.

https://zcoin.io/testnet-binaries-znode-gui/

We are approaching release of Znodes and thank you for your patience. We know we missed the first week of December but wanted to ensure a stable release and thank you for your understanding. We would like to thank the community for their participation on the public testnet and are rolling out test release binaries to open it up to a greater audience for a final round of testing.

WARNING:

These binaries need to be run with the flag -testnet. Please ensure you’re not using these binaries on mainnet or on your real wallet. We will not be responsible for any loss. As always, always a good idea to do a backup of your wallet.dat by clicking on File>Backup Wallet and then saving your wallet.dat in another location (or even better another drive).
It is still however NOT recommended for casual users. If the instructions below don’t make sense, we don’t recommend you test and just wait a bit more for the final release.

Read the blog for more details and download links.

So are ZNode POS?

Hi,

love the project, got a lot of zcoin, unfortunately Im in for the anonymity and not the tech  Cheesy

I downloaded the wallet, encrypted it but I cant figure out how to get my private keys....

I came across this reddit thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/zcoin/comments/7gr877/private_key_question/

Is thats the way to do it? And if so, how can I acess my Zcoin Wallet from a different computer?

This might be obvious and easy for every techie out there but me and a lot of others are lost...as I stated above I love the fundamentals about this project but in my opinion you need to step up your UI and Marketing game.

How is it possible that there aren't 10 tutorials on your homepage for newbies like me. There is one short vid about the wallet and a short faq section....

Actually there is some good marketing advice on reddit as well:

https://www.reddit.com/r/zcoin/comments/7hihdw/marketing_approaches_that_not_many_coins_are/

Long story short, keep up the great work but dont forget that crypto is completely unkown to most people out there Wink

We are working on the user experience right after znodes Cheesy Need to get the backend first.

To get the private key:

Hello Zcoin!

I'm thrilled to announce our research efforts into the hardened version of MTP, Itsuku, have been published to the International Association for Cryptologic Research (IACR)! We'll be releasing a C++ implementation of the design in our upcoming Boolberry hardfork when we rebrand to Doubloon. If your team plans on using the new design maybe we can organize a GPU mining contest as it would benefit both projects. If not, no worries we've given you guys credit in our project reveal announcement and also in the published paper.

"Itsuku: a Memory-Hardened Proof-of-Work Scheme"

Thanks for organizing the bounty program. It was a pleasure seeing researchers from all sides collaborate towards a mutually beneficial outcome.

Cheers!

Thanks so much! Dmitry and Alex are also completing their MTPv2 paper so we are also excited to see what they have. We really appreciated your feedback especially from Fabien and Hidetoshi and happy that the bounty competition stimulated good discussion. If we do adopt Itsuku, we will definitely be open to collaborating.
