The one think which goes me on my nerves it that every good project is calling firtly scam.

I know the Beginning at Monero...
I invested monthly around 200 Dollars in the Coins...

Everyone write it is scam... but i buy and buy month for month.... and now

i'm sure all the people who sold their coins to the "investor" will be really happy that the investor knew things they did not.

Can we expect more of this? People on the inside buying everyone's coins when they know news that everyone else does not?

Unfortunately this whole saga is on record now, and in the long run people will eschew this sort of behaviour.

Before long someone will use the zerocoin paper to do something more community minded

Yes, it's manipulation. No one has that many coins to sell. The insider buying has probably bought around 300,000 coins by now and there is only 800,000 existing.

They don't intend to buy them just to pump the coin.

The other big Problem Gary is also closed... This is why since this week the coin is raising and big investors buying in.
Also the rumours about poloniex i think... Maybe we see it next week on Polo ?

That could be a problem but it was not the only one.

Not sell? People have to manage the risk, and when zcoinofficial refused to update everyone here on what was going on people sold, and an insider bought.

So long you not sell you loose nothing. The Problem is everyone wanted to make to quick buck...
often people buy high and sell low with big looses. I am for example never sold a coin lower as i buy, if i bought shit which
falls down i am holding and holding untill zero. But with this strategy i make a lot BTC.

For example now just look the Buy sight on XZC it is increasing day by day.
The best you can do is buy back as long as it is cheap, we will see 0.008 next days

The whole thing kinda sucks.
I'll explain why.

1.Lots of ordinary people bought this coin while the price was much higher.
2.We later found out that a developer was selling.
3.Then there was confusion and no information and conflicting stories and an insider (almost certainly) stood in the market and bought a huge percentage of the coins.

Gary Issue Explanation

Gary Le is no longer a part of the Zcoin project.

First of all, we have posted an explanation to the investing public. We just don't want to drag on this drama longer than it has to especially since we are past that. Gary's flaws are known with all the stuff you linked. For those of you who have had dealings with Poramin on Slack, you'll get the feeling why Poramin put up with Gary for so long even when he was basically taken for a ride. He is trusting by nature and just really wants to code.


I believe this is detailed enough unless you want tons of chat logs and digging up of history but these can all be attested with anyone who was involved with the Zcoin project and Gary. You can even see the BCT replies on this.

Alleged Dumping on Bittrex

Secondly the dumping on Bittrex was only done by Gary and can be seen on the public chain.

32,202 XZC is what you would get if you have not touched it all so if you take a look, the vast majority of funds are there.
This means that Poramin has only transferred out 561.5 XZC
Investor 2 has transferred out 5908 XZC with the last transfer on the 15 October 2016.

Investor 1 and 3 have not transferred out any of their Zcoin's founder rewards. Note that Investor 3 is new since he replaced Gary hence the much smaller balance.

Vertcoin:

In 2014 Poramin had two devs with him, Boris and Erik and Poramin took a back seat especially when he was doing his masters in John Hopkins University (https://isi.jhu.edu/student-projects-completed-in-2014-2015/)
Boris and Erik was replaced by Adam (https://github.com/a432511) and metalicjames (https://github.com/metalicjames) but James went to study at MIT and Adam was focusing on his own startup. By that time, Poramin was already involved with Moneta/Zcoin with obligations to his investors.

He still hopes to return to develop for Vertcoin with EVM.

James continues to do maintenance releases for Vertcoin (https://github.com/vertcoin/vertcoin/releases)
Note that Vertcoin's marketcap is still bigger than Zcoin's

Zerovert: Closed source, was started to be part of the Vertcoin ecosystem as a merged mine coin but lack of interest from Vertcoin community, scaling issues and no funding led to it being abandoned. There were certain difficult technical issues also that also made further development problematic so especially when support was not there, not much motivation to carry on. It was kept closed source as since there was no outside funding and so much work has been put into it, Poramin didn't want to open source it either and let someone else take all his hard work but that also meant that his work could not be audited so there was a lot of questions as to whether the Zerocoin implementation was truly working.

Moneta/Zcoin: Same project. Moneta was launched as Zcoin. Moneta was NOT a separate project.

These are the only cryptocurrency projects Poramin has been involved in.

Now could these projects have been handled better? For sure with the benefit of hindsight and Poramin's own admission is that communication is one of his weak points which is why I'm here to assist. Should Poramin have done more due diligence on Gary? Well take note that Gary also managed to convince the investors and Thiel to invest in him...

Great news will come in the next few days... at the moment its rumours in the slack,
but devs are in contact with Polo and everytime when someone ask if zcoin will be added in the next weeks to polo they only send a " we cant give you any information"

Also a big sign is that the last 4 days someone bought 174000 Coins and send them out from Bittrex.
I think it is an insider who know somethink more.
No stupid man will invest 150BTC without knowing somethink.

The Tech Work excellently

Does the tech work? Does it actually obscure the sender/receiver?

The pump even hasn't started yet.

With all these history it does not look good... it looks like another failed project, I will possibly need to move my mining else where. Man, difficult to find a good coin in this space.

Just better look the Slack channel and you will see that it is no scam.

Only because no one writes in BTC anymore? BTC is worthless... everyone uses slack or telegram

So it looks like this is a total scam again. I've stopped all my computers from mining.
