I just checked, only a slot of ram  Sad

http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-15-r200-Notebook-PC-series/7486447/model/7688301/document/c04547841/

with t1 option, I checked with system monitors the thread at 100% constantly changes. The work runs in a circle on all threads so temperature remains low

@lukax8

Looks to me like your laptop is not configured with a dual channel memory setup and it is possible that it may not support it.

Can you pop open the memory bay and see if both ram slots are populated?

If you have the brand and model # I can search and see if its supported

It might just be better to stick with -t 1 and keep an eye on temps

edit: You may also be able to see the config in your bios

can this new algo be mined effectively with gpu or it's like the old one that only cpu work and it is not worth to use gpu? i hope the dev understand that runnign a bot fest coin will never do anything good to the project, mining is very centralized now in this coin

It works better with certain cpu configurations with quad channel memory or dual channel memory. From what I have seen so far the top miners are using Amazon spot instances to get the cheapest cpu prices when the prices are most profitable.

I have tested with multiple cpus and the best configurations seem to be those with dual or quad memory setups

Amazon might be the best way to harvest the most coins, but for the average user a dual core pentium skylake cpu with dual channel memory will give you the most bang for the buck.

I have yet to get my hands on some higher end quad channel memory supported xeons. I have a feeling quad channel xeon setups will perform much better than dual channel setups but would be very cost prohibitive.

Socket 1150 xeons perform about the same as similar clocked pentiums in dual channel configurations.

Might be good to put together a list of cpu speeds and configs if anyone is interested

Why with only 1 thread cpu makes about 3 H/s and with 4 threads cpu makes only 0.80 H/s ?

-t 2 will give you better results if you have a dual channel memory config, otherwise stick with -t 1

That is a pretty low power draw cpu, I think around 20 watts if I remember correctly

How are your heat levels while mining?

Why with only 1 thread cpu makes about 3 H/s and with 4 threads cpu makes only 0.80 H/s ?

I wonder which zcoin is depending on Poramin's , Dev? and bittrex version is using poramin's version?
Please let me know to download xzc wallet. thanks

Use this version. https://github.com/zcoinofficial/zcoin/releases

Bittrex version we will see once they have made a decision but we are positive.

I'll be updating https://xzc.suprnova.cc to that version as well as the poll is clearly for one direction:

Please check your site https://xzc.suprnova.cc. it was not connected for 20 hours ago.
I coud not see my miner status and balance, guy. is your site on maintenance?

No problems from my side currently

I have recently got into this coin, the wallet takes 5.25 hrs to load, that's after three days to sync.  then i go to mine with it and get run time error's and the wallet crash's. is there any way to make it load faster and actually solo mine? or is there at least a windows miner that i can use for AMD cpu or gpu? i have no clue how to compile and ubuntu will not dual boot with my computer so i am stuck on win 7 x64. I do not get why i have issues with this coin. i have a x6 cpu 8gb ram and rx 480 with a 850w psu. i love mining and i am willing to learn more if i can find the help.

I want to know when the MTP is available ? it's so long to finish this algo.
The zcoin wallet is synchronizing too slow eventhough it sometimes stops synchronizing.
may I tranfer my xzc coins from bittrex exchange to my private wallet ?
my wallet is running on the link https://github.com/zcoinofficial/zcoin/releases

You can withdraw XZC from Bittrex to your wallet with 0.02 XZC fee

Can Founders secretly mint Zerocoins?

No, they (and not including the dev) do not have access to the initial parameters and are subject to the same rules as everyone else.

Did you mean "not excluding the dev"?..  Wink

How do we detect a breach in Zcoin's initial parameters or a vulnerability?

In the event of Zcoin's initial parameters being compromised or some other vulnerability is discovered, Zerocoins can be minted. However this is easily detected as total supply is still auditable.
Total supply of coins that should exist = (block number x block reward)
OP_ZEROCOINMINT function shows all mints + 0.1 mint fee
OP_ZEROCOINSPEND shows all spends of Zerocoin
So you know exactly how many Zerocoins have entered the Zerocoin pool and how many Zerocoins have exited the Zerocoin pool.
total supply >= all circular money - (#zerocoin_mint_tx + 0.1 for each tx) + #zerocoin_spend_tx

Remember an example of a bug that can cause things going haywire has been observed in Bitcoin (https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Value_overflow_incident) but it was detected and fixed because the total supply was auditable.

This is not possible with Zcash as transaction amounts are obscured making it impossible to determine so if a flaw is found, this is a much bigger risk. This is the trade off for their added anonymity and we feel it's a risky one although they have attempted to mitigate this by multiple costly security audits.

I have a question here:
ok, lets assume we have detected that something is arong with total supply, so someone is minting "counterfeith" zerocoins... So what next? What can be done to save the coin in such case? Can anything be done, or as soon as it happens, the coin is doomed together with the investment people have made into it?

The breakup of the dev team is a sad thing to the community. I like this coin and think it will have great potential. Now that it seems that the dev team is stablized, hope they will resume the development course and put more great features into the coin.

None of this can truly be verified, it either matches what you say is Roger Vers account or it doesn't. This is blind faith. Beyond that, seeing if all the accounts are drained yet, there is nothing in place to prevent them from being drained - only reporting when they get dumped. That is aggressively anti-investor and is a security problem.

<> again, nothing is setup to preventing coins from being minted at this point, if one of the founders does have a copy of this key in their possession. You can detect them being minted, but you can't stop them from being minted. Security problem? Lol

Poramin went MIA on Vertcoin Ether EVM due 6 most ago.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=895020.2620

Roger Ver is an investor in ZCoin, after zerovert, moneta, vertcoin, etc... Why would he be? Doesn't make any sense

<< If it has deducted an amount, they have either been transferred out or minted Zerocoins. Once they have minted Zerocoins, they could be still kept by them or they could have spent it elsewhere but you can not tell which. This is where the anonymity comes in but I suspect if they do this, more FUD will come about.>>

Again there is nothing to prevent the accounts from being drained, and this is a special back door that can be used by the founders at any time. It is right to be worried here

<>

Why did that happen? Where was wonderful quick responding Poramin to pay these people? They should have all been paid, albeit late

<>

Well at least you acknowledge that ZCoin is less secure and that ZCoin has not had any costly security audits. Are we still sure Roger Ver approves of this? Lol

its centralized if you spent money to rent servers to mine (but yet again its the same as participating in an ICO) the more you spent the more you can mine... i am giving 5 i7  cpus, and get 3 coins per day. So you cant call it centralized... cause some people believe its tech, and are willing to spent money.

What generation i7 are you running and are they setup with a dual channel memory config?

If not running with dual channel memory adding this could double your speeds

can this new algo be mined effectively with gpu or it's like the old one that only cpu work and it is not worth to use gpu? i hope the dev understand that runnign a bot fest coin will never do anything good to the project, mining is very centralized now in this coin

Why everyone is whining like a little virgin? The coin was never that high in price, so that the devs bought lambo's from them... why so much crying? for a coin with so low market cap? There have been real scams out there with 100x more btc scammed... and yet.... here newbies cry like its the end of the world.
I suspect a coordinated FUD campaign here (maybe funded by Gary Le, maybe not).

These trolls are so tiring... No need even to read the bullshit they post. CryptoRambler (better to call it "CryptoWhimper") is talking to himself, and listens only himself too, posting nonsense, without making any attempt at understanding the answers graciously provided to him...  Undecided
His posts are specifically meaningless, and are 100% malignant bullshit. Either he understands zero technology, or is just a paid fudder troll.

Such people deserve to be ignored, nothing else. They dont want to learn, dont want to understand, but just to broarcast some shit and mislead people. Its a pity others are listening to all that bullshit.

Bitcointalk sometimes is really tiring place, and reading those posts I feel like wasting my time...

P.S. dbt1033, man there is no reason you should join this meaningless "hater-fest" now. I am sure you have better things to do Wink

Because I've seen this happen a million times now...  This won't end well for anyone.  But sure, keep wasting your time here.
