There have been concerns on hashrate being dominated by CPU only which allows people who use/purchase discounted credits (not always legally) to run large cloud mining operations via AWS and similar.

This is against the spirit of having egalitarian computing which is one of the things that MTP was meant to address. As we only expect MTP development completion in March, the devs are considering doing a parameter change to the Lyra2 algorithm which would allow GPU mining to work alongside CPU mining as a temporary measure to address dumping of coins and unfair domination of hashrate.

Tried things our for a while and it looks like we lost some miners and are not gaining new ones!

Unfortunate that more people will not spread the hash rate.

61+ hours and still no block finds

I will give it another day or two and hope we get lucky!

If things do not change by then might have to switch all miners back to the pool with the most concentrated hash

EDIT: I spoke too soon, looks like we just found a block!

I do not know exactly when it is available but maybe it will be about 2 or 3 months in this year.

Yes it's pushed to dev branch and we are testing but not released yet. We have only been testing it a week and we should get a new release within a week or so. This will have the faster loading time. As mentioned the first loading time will be slow but subsequent loads will be in minutes.

We recently had an additional developer to help us out so Poramin is not alone. Cheesy

We hope to recruit more.

it's dangerious that just only poramin alone to develop xzc.

I have downloaded the poramin version but it's so lag and now it's over 24 hour and I see that it was stucked at block 13189 (12 days to go).

First loading might take long due to the node. You could add xzc.suprnova.cc node in the mean time for faster loading. We will try to upgrade our seed node but it's not a priority now.

Not defecting, but I am splitting up some of my hash power to make sure all the pools get a fair shake and secure the network.

Its been 32 hours + since the last block so lets hope a few others decide to split up the hash power they have.
