To me, the biggest risk is if Bitcoin itself implements some anonymity features which makes a lot of these anonymity coins for the regular guy obsolete since Bitcoin's anonymity might be good enough. For example BIP-47 would be a good step forward. But you know how things move with Bitcoin... 
I personally believe that the time will come one day where Bitcoin will get anonymity features, but it won't be within the next few years.If Bitcoin goes anonymous too early, there will be a lot of defense from authorities.
Anonymity is not an option in the long run, the more this feature progress the bigger authority resistance will be, more problems and regulations will be demanded.

If zcoin uses POS, POS rewards do not need to mortgage so many coins. Now masternodes has too many mortgage coins.

because the coin should have a usecase ...and for zcoin its the "payment possibility"
and if there are no coins out ...because all are locked its getting useless..thats why
simple....
also as the masternodes are "taking care" of the transactions, if all coins are locked ...then there arent transactions anymore (very very less) so no need for a masternode as well

As masternodes require quite a high amount of coins, the risk of it all being used for masternodes is very low, Currently we're at just below 60%: https://masternodes.online/currencies/XZC/ This is similar to DASH (59.3%) and CROWN (59+7%).
We're only at 4.5 mln XZC of the final 21.4 million. Restricting it to a certain amount would mean it is very hard to get a new masternode for a new entrant. Also, the 2500 masternodes would only be about 10% of the final distribution of the coin, so far too low.

yes thats not good ....there should be a limit of 5000 masternodes even if all coins are out...that would be then a good percentage of 25% Masternodes....
its shouldnt be possible to set up more then 60% masternodes or later on if all coins are out ..about max 35%

I don't see why there should be a limit to the amount of masternodes.
