I have to disagree. I think facetious is the right word here.

Sarcastic I think would be a better word for description of the statement.

I'm just going to go ahead and point out the fact that you are not using the word "ironic" like you think you are. The word your looking for is "facetious".

there was no irony in your earlier statement. You were being facetious when you said:
