Seeing all these trends happen, I'm pretty much convinced that innovation is not what drives people to mine or trade a coin. It is he hype and community fear generated from the "losing out on not acting when you could have" peer pressure. Nobody really cares if its a clone, premined or whatever. See a comparison on the thread pages. Those will the higher number of pages have at some point been the star at the exchanges, multiple times too sometimes.
This is technically the point where the price should be the lowest. So it makes sense.

I'm mining the hell out of these. It's a little too late but I was able to catch the tail end of BC which was highly profitable.
