The Problem is, there are so many mods out in the wild currently that it is Hard to tell Which is legit and Which is not.
280k sounds too low, but 68mh/s Sounds too high...
The dev has contacted me asked about minority Chinese scammer who still hashrate. So he has not given up and will be sure to come up with a fix.
